The story of our quest for good Mediterranean food goes back an age. My wife and I first found our favorite Lebanese place when we were care free and kidless after a 12am Disneyland date. From there, my wife was pregnant with our first kid and attending Fullerton college, so she would frequent a place near the school when the cravings for pickles came in. Alas, we moved to Riverside County a few years later and just couldn’t match the flavors of the Orange County neighborhoods we were accustomed to. That leads us to tonight. After scoping out our new neighborhood close to our first home purchase, we had to make a Sams Club run and notice this little corner shop “Huh, Pacific Pita” my wife said. “I wonder if they’re any good?” “Not likely” I guffawed, having been burned by so many subpar Mediterranean restaurants in this area (I’m looking at you Pita Street!) Finally, on a rainy night, after finishing an overhead storage rack install in the garage, I was too tired and hungry to go grocery shopping and cook it too. I asked her where we she wanted to go, and lo and behold, we ended up here, at Pacific Pita. Expecting the worst, but hoping for the best, I went in, was promptly greeted and I placed the order. 20 mins later, I was eating a lamb kabob in my car with two screaming girls in the back, but I wasn’t really there. Sure, my body was, but my mind was transfigured to a land of garlic and lamb nirvana. I turned to my wife, and with just a look, I knew, we had found our new spot. Kudos to you, the crew of Pacific Pita. You have made this darkened heart bright and...
Read moreWe had a college game at College of Desert and decided to stop by there after our game. We told them we will come and eat here even before our game. We called them to give them heads up that we are on the way and will be there in 30-45 minutes. We ordered on the phone what we would like to eat. When we arrived the place cashier even didn't start our order. Anyway we said that is fine and lets get the order and we will wait. We ordered again and paid then they told us to stay outside while they prepare the food. We as coaches asked the players lets go outside and wait there. Sounds we bothered them. Some of the players wanted to sit inside due to weather (after the game they feel cold, was chilly outside, around 7-8 pm). They insist us to leave the place. We asked them we are customers and we deserve to be sit and wait our food here. None of the players misbehaved or disturb anyone there. Then cook came from inside and threaded us to call police if we dont leave. Imagine our situation 21 players with 3 coaches travelling and receive this service. Was big disappointment and big mistake. Food was ok, nothing special but with this experience who cares about the food. Sorry but there are lots of places out there deserve more customers...
Read moreFood is good, not great. Service level is ok; they missed items from my order. We spent over $75, so I would assume the restaurant would make sure we got all items we requested. I noticed staff and cooks were all talking and joking around rather than cooking or even making sure my order was good. Location is good; parking is good too. Restaurant was clean and menu looks like it gives you a good amount of selections but it would be better if the staff would actually follow the order placed by the customer. We called the location and told them we were missing items; they told us we can pick them up the next day- sure, we are 30. Minutes away from their location, will they be paying for my gas as well? Am I getting a complementary Gyro? What if I was stopping by to this restaurant based on reviews and then need to hop back in the freeway to drive further? Yeah, definitely will not be coming to this restaurant again. Unfortunately, I cannot say the amount of their servings merits the price or that it tastes good since all I can think of is why pay so much for a restaurant to give you an incomplete or...
