Bella's Pizza Villa — Restaurant in Murrieta

I was very disappointed and shocked on how my family was treated on my Birthday celebration that my lovely wife put together for me and 12 of our family members. My wife wanted to take me to a nice pizza joint instead of Cici pizza ( which I love) so she looked up pizza places and she seen the 4.6 rating for bella "Pizza" Villa. So she called and ask about having about 15 people for a "Pizza party" for me and Gabby told her no problem we can accommodate you! my wife also ask that no menus be passed out and if there was anything they do for the birthday person and she yes they are given a cannoli so she gave Gabby her name and that was that! till we showed up with our family and Ladonna the owner was very irritated, she put tables together for us and her girls started putting menus down and my wife said no menus she had spoken to Gabby already! Ladonna said " this is a sit down restaurant and my wife said lets speak privately so my wife explained to ladonna that she had called ahead spoke and cleared everything through gabby and this was our first time there and it was for my birthday! the night just got worst from there no one came to take our drinks until 30mins after the pizzas starting to come out my wife ask ladonna if she can get someone to take our drink order? our waitress didn't even come around to ask if everything was ok or if we needed drink refills well needless to say it was a horrible experience the food was not that great and the service was horrendous shame on you Ladonna for ruining a night of great memories for me and my family. Coupon for free knots on a mail flyer got me to try them out. The person working the phone and register seemed annoyed to be bothered by me during both interactions. I noticed on the menu they have 2 crust types and asked for a recommendation on the phone call, response - “it’s a personal preference”. Mentioned it was my first time so I’m just looking for a recommendation for a Hawaiian style since I’m not sure, response- “it’s a personal preference”. Would you say that’s a helpful answer? After I picked one she says “that’s not the crust I’d get with that kind” but didn’t even bother to ask if I want to change it after the snarky comment. Thanks again. Similar bad interaction when I got there for pickup as she seemed to take it as a personal insult that I dared assume a picture of my coupon would be sufficient. The coupon did not say anything about it being a requirement to cut it out and physically bring it in, and she didn’t specify that during the phone call either. With a condescending tone she said this was very important but she’ll let it slide this 1 time. To their credit, the pizza is clearly made with quality ingredients and it was pretty good so the price can be somewhat justified, but the bad vibes and bad energy from the counter isn’t worth it for me. Pizza was solid and the knots were ok but I don’t recommend the NY calzone, it had so much cheese that it was a soggy mess before I could really eat much of it. My husband and I went to Bella’s Pizza Villa last night for the first time. We wanted to try restaurant in our local area that we hadn’t been to yet. My husband and I both enjoyed their pizza. We are both very particular on tomato sauce, and we really liked their tomato sauce. There were two severs and they were both very nice. We thought the atmosphere at Bella’s Pizza Villa is very nice and modern. We loved the fact that the pizza came out steaming hot, but it wasn’t overdone at all. I’m sure we will be going back sometime I’m updating my review. My husband and I went back to Bella’s Pizza Villa last night, Saturday June 25. I know they have other items on their menu besides pizza, but their pizza is soo good that it’s very hard to order something else. We had one of the servers that we had last time we were there. This waitress that we had has such a sweet personality. The gentleman that brought out our pizza the very first time we were there was very nice as well. I’m pretty sure we’re going to become regulars at Bella’s Pizza Villa.This isn’t the typical pizza one gets in California, this is ten times better. I love the fact that my husband can get a little taste of Chicago, as he’s originally from a city/town right outside of Chicago.
