MayBell’s BBQ is hands down some of, if not THE best, BBQ I’ve had in California! Not only is it delicious, but it is owned and ran by incredibly awesome folks, who deliver a personalized and exceptional customer experience! We were having a family gathering for both my sons birthday and a memorial for my mother’s heavenly birthday. I know my family loves grilling and loves BBQ, but I’m a single mom, with no grill or grill skills lol, so I researched places in the area and chose MayBells off the reviews. In placing a decent size meat order, on a short notice, we were met with all smiles, yes, we can absolutely do that for you, and not only did they do it, but they kindly exceeded our expectations and really made the meal for a special day! My family is full of seasoned “grill masters” lol, at least to them and the family they are! They could not believe how good this brisket and pulled pork was! Everyone kept asking where it came from and commenting on how incredible and perfectly cooked it was! Please accept my sincerest gratitude for such a wonderful experience and delicious food! You’ve earned a customer for life here :) -...
Read moreThe first thing you notice when you walk into MayBells's BBQ is the smell... It smells amazing Smokey and sweet exactly what you would expect from a great barbecue place. We were greeted by a cashier who was very knowledgeable about their menu and very helpful and friendly.
we decided to order the two meat plate with pulled pork pork spare ribs their sweet corn and their brisket beans. We also ordered a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and potato salad.
The pulled pork was very good although the barbecue sauce was a bit ketchupy if that's a word. The spare ribs were slightly disappointing little overcooked and the potato salad tasted store-bought. The sweet corn was nothing more than canned corn with some butter on it I was expecting maybe some sweet cream corn that would have been excellent. All in all it was okay I don't know that I would necessarily come back there were some good things about it but it was more outweighed by the things that...
Read moreNot sure why all the 5 stars. Wasn't close to that. My 3 stars is being generous. Ordered the 2 meat plate pictured. Price, a bit high $$$. Meats, unseasoned portions. Brisket, dry. The sides. Potato salad, and beans. One bite, didn't finish either. My bread was two pieces of plain, white bread. Toasted bread or, Texas toast would have made better complement towards the meat and bbq sauce. The sauce taste out of a store bottle. Only two other tables occupied and the Cashier was attempting to serve their meals to each table while you waited to order. I know real, good barbecue. This isn't it. But I was willing to give it a try in part due to the 5 Star ratings other patrons had stated. I don't appreciate spending my hard earned money on ratings that don't pan out. I know two really good barbecue places in the area. Both are...
