MSR Mexican Food — Restaurant in Murrieta

People are very nice. Family place, not great fir sit down. I do not like that prices are not posted. Food used to be consistent and good. Prices are too steep for the quality at this point.

$5.99 for a standard bean and cheese burrito is a rip off price, especially when its nothing special. The beans were actually not very good. A plain cheese quesadilla is over $4.00 and its got minimal cheese.

The chicken tacos have become flavorless and disappointing. They put a heaping teaspoon of chicken on them,unseasoned, no tomatoes, no pico, and the shells are not fresh made, but reheated. And these are $2.89 each.

Every time I have gotten food here over the past year I have to add my own sour cream, cheese, tomato, etc to round out the food .

I realize that prices for ingredients have gone up, however, for the same prices, you can go to a full service Mexican restaurant and receive a complete meal, fresh made, with the condiments you need, and their overhead is much higher.

So, I am not sure why MSR is dropping the ball, but that was the last time in a while to go there for us.

MSR, get rid of the menu board with all the food pictures, its tacky. Get a PROPER updated menu with all the prices listed. Pay attention to what youre sending out from the kitchen. Maybe you dont realize that the food isnt up to quality like it used to be. We will go back but if your prices stay as high as a full service place, maybe delete things off you menu so you can increase quality and offer...

I am very upset with my experiance at MSR. After eating I went to refill my soda and noticed something dangling from the soda spout. I got a napkin and wiped inside and there was mildew!!!! We all drank from that machine! I was so grossed out. I then looked into the fridge where they keep the salsa and was disgusted. There was mildew in there too! The beer pit was also all melted ice and I could see the bottom of of it. There was dirt layering the bottom. I couldn't get a picture of that but the place really is gross. Myself, my husband and my daughter ate there and there lack of cleanliness could have gotten us sick. I can only imagine how the kitchen looks if that's how they clean the areas that are in clear site of the customers. We will not...

Went in to order a carne asada burrito to go. Lady at the register was super nice and friendly. She gave me 2 salsas (red and green) and I asked for 2 more and she happily threw them in the bag.

I paid $11 and gave a tip for a total of $13. I was pleasantly surprised that my burrito had some yummy beans inside. The carne asada was a bit salty and had too much pepper. The guacamole also tasted a little old. The “spicy salsas” were not spicy, had an ok flavor. I added sour cream at home to tame down the saltiness and added some lime on the salsas to give them some flavor.
