OMG! OMG! OMG! Ladies and Gentlemen, boy do I have an amazing find for you! Ok so first off, I am a huge fan of good ole Southern cooking! I have tried to find many different variations of southern cuisines, but I have yet to find a restaurant that reigns supreme until today! This establishment is in a very well known part of Murrieta, but is in a shopping center that doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic. This is extremely sad for this restaurant, as they have the most amazing and warm food that would melt anyone’s heart and soul. I am always trying to find hidden gems in our community that deserve the right to be celebrated and I found it in Sharon’s Creole Kitchen. This was my experience and I hope you rush on down and post your own amazing experience, as well to help give this business the recognition they deserve. Hold tight for a wild ride! You won’t be disappointed! When entering the establishment, we were immediately greeting by an amazing hostess that seated us promptly. She also took our order and was so gracious, friendly and warm. She was extremely attentive to not only us, but also the other customers that pleasantly dined. Telling you humor and smiles go a long way and she did an amazing job. As we were sitting, waiting for our food we enjoyed looking at the colorful murals, fixtures and enjoying the smells coming from the kitchen. Multiple customers sat around us and my husband and I couldn’t help but try to look at their plates in anticipation of our meals to arrive. The smells alone coming from our neighbors plates overwhelming our senses and heightened our excitement to receive our food. After our food arrived, we weren’t disappointed at all. I ordered the shrimp po’boy with sweet potato fries and red beans and rice. It was honestly the best po’boy I have ever had. It had a spice kick that danced on your tongue that didn’t get overwhelming but just pricked all the right way places on your palette. Inside the po’boy was not only perfectly cooked shrimp, but the combo of the sauce, shrimp and amazing pickles just elevated the dish far beyond belief. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and had just enough brown sugar to kick it up a notch in flavor. My favorite and the star of the meal for me was the red beans and rice……absolutely amazing. It was absolutely perfection! I’m sorry words cannot even describe how perfect it was. With chunks of sausage, ham and delectable beans I literally could have bathed in it. I am not at all joking. I wouldn’t bathe in it! If you don’t believe me go in and try it. You will not at all be disappointed. I did try my husband and my youngest daughter’s dishes as well and they were amazing as well. The cornbread was a honey cornbread and it was light and fluffy with just the right amount of honey and the muffin wasn’t too dense. My husband had shrimp etoufee. It was so creamy and smooth it. My tastebuds were dancing in celebration. Even my daughter’s lunch, which was only fries and chicken fingers was perfectly cooked and seasoned far better than most restaurants. It was so reminiscence of being in Louisiana. Telling you next time I go I am totally going to order a ton of sides because I really wanted to try the fried okra, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, etc. Whatever you order I bet you will be giving a thumbs up all the way. I can’t wait till our next visit. I hope you take my advice and go visit them and make them your next to go spot sharing with other your experience to bring joy to our community. They deserve high recognition for providing high quality dishes where you can taste the love in every bite. They definitely have put their heart and soul into all their food. Thanks again guys! It was fabulous and we will obviously will be seeing you...

We ordered the Debris Fries, Zoe’s Wings (12-piece), and Beignets.
Starting with the Debris Fries — this dish was pure comfort food. The taste was heartwarming and soul-warming, served hot with a creamy texture, gooey melted cheese, and a generous touch of garlic. Every bite felt indulgent and satisfying. The presentation matched exactly what was shown on their menu — piled high, cheesy, and absolutely inviting.
Next, the Zoe’s Wings, where we chose a 50/50 split between Hot Honey and Garlic Parmesan flavors. The wings were perfectly cooked — crispy without being overcooked, juicy on the inside, and served piping hot.
The Hot Honey wings had a flavor similar to Nashville spice — a beautiful balance between sweet honey and a pleasant spicy kick. They’re ideal if you want something with heat but can’t handle extreme spice.
The Garlic Parmesan wings were just as impressive, with a rich, creamy coating that blended garlic and parmesan beautifully. The first bite packed a punch of garlic flavor, followed by a smooth parmesan finish. Bold but pleasant, and incredibly satisfying.
Finally, we ended the meal with the Beignets. (Note: You mentioned ordering them but didn’t describe them — if you want, I can help you add a quick description for those too!)
Service: Service was absolutely top-tier — 5 out of 5 stars. We were greeted warmly by a young lady at the front of the house, and our server, Maryjane, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Even though we came close to closing time, she treated us like family — constantly checking in, refilling our cups, and making sure everything was perfect without ever rushing us. Her kindness really made the experience memorable.
Ambiance: The atmosphere was lively, friendly, and soulful. The vibe was upbeat, with good soulful music playing and staff members who clearly loved being there. It felt like a judgment-free, welcoming place where everyone could relax and enjoy themselves.
Price: While the prices were a little higher than some other spots ($9 for beignets, $15 for fries, $24 for 12 wings), the quality of the food and the warmth of the service more than justified the cost. It truly felt like great value for what we received — flavorful, satisfying dishes made with care.
While prices were a touch higher than average, I wouldn’t call it expensive considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, the experience was overwhelmingly positive — delicious food, top-notch service, and a lively atmosphere.
Additional Points:
Dietary Options: Didn't specifically notice vegetarian or vegan options this time, but the menu seemed broad enough to have something for everyone.
Personal Preferences: If you love soulful, flavorful Southern food and warm service, this place is right up your alley.
Conclusion: Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Sharon’s Creole Kitchen would make a fantastic regular go-to spot or a great place to check out if you’re visiting for the first time. Highly recommended for the delicious food, welcoming staff, and lively, soul-filled atmosphere.

Read moreI saw a spot on the local news about this place and decided I had to try it. It's really hard to find good Louisiana Creole food in SoCal and figured this was the best shot. My wife and I stopped in on Sunday 8/11/2024 on our way home from the San Diego area and were greeted with a restaurant that was very busy. Good sign! We were waitlisted and told it would be 10-15 minutes. Not a big deal so we waited outside. Please note that there is no room for waiting customers inside since about every possible space is used for tables. After about 20-25 minutes we had not heard and so went back to check and they had lost our name. It was a little frustrating since we both were pretty hungry. Fortunately, we were seated immediately but shouldn't have had to check back ourselves. We would have waited much longer (and might have just left) had we not checked. The wait staff is friendly and prompt although our server, Justin, did not come around often. We had to rely on another server (forgot the name) who was new and he was great. I ordered Sharon's two piece fried chicken with hush puppies and candied yams. My wife got the Jumbalaya with shrimp. We both had unsweetened iced tea to go with the meal. The food came in a short amount of time, which was nice. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Nice and hot with crispy breaded skin and moist on the inside. The hush puppies were incredible. You can't get decent hush puppies just anywhere and being a big fan of them, I was very pleased. The candied yams were unbelievably good. Unfortunately, the chicken tasted a little off because I believe the oil in the deep fryer was old. It was bad enough that I just couldn't fully enjoy the experience, I was really looking forward to getting blown away by the star of the plate and it was lacking. I was also disappointed that the hush puppies didn't come with some butter. I asked and got some prepackaged stuff that was okay, but I thought it would come with some whipped butter or even honey-butter. The Jambalaya my wife got was excellent. The Andouille sausage was great and the shrimp plentiful. It had just the right amount of spice, no extra seasoning was needed. The price of the meal was very reasonable. Our total bill was about $40 before tip. I think if the management of the restaurant insisted on changing the cooking oil more often it would have been a much better experience. I'm not sure if I will be back, but if I do, I'll be sure to order something that doesn't have to be deep fried. Last thing is the size of the dining room. It's possible that we just happened by when it was unusually busy (Sunday early evening), but if Sharon's really wants to have good restaurant atmosphere, they may want to look at relocating to a larger space where there's more room to sit and larger spaces to walk through when getting around...
