Pretty much the only reason I'm not giving this place lower than 3 stars is the amount of food they give you -- I haven't seen any other place have 4 enchiladas as part of a combo, it's always 2 for some ungodly reason. Secondly, the cashier was nice. Third, the enchilada's while not being up to my standards, at least were OK.
I regularly visit Mexican restaurants I've never been to in hopes I can finally find a place that has an enchilada sauce which isn't bland. They came a little closer than a lot of places I've been to, but it's still the same issue with every one of them, the sauce simply isn't that flavorful and this issue is common enough that I think this was my last attempt and I just have to accept that the vast majority of Mexican restaurants are incapable of making good enchilada's and I'll just have to make my own from now on.
Another big dilemma for me, is if I didn't care about my calorie intake, I'd probably come here on rare occasion, but because I'd have the chance to come here so rarely, there's no way in hell I'd be willing to give a day to this place so put simply the food wasn't bad, but nor was it good enough over all to be worth...
Read moreMy first time here. The inside was clean and inviting. Very comfortable. I got the house special. (Which is Carne asada on waffle fries). It was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try the other unique items on the menu like the chocolate chimichanga. Staff was helpful and friendly. And I received complimentary chips upon my order. Even the salsa bar had a nice variety. Definitely try this place out if you're ever in murrieta. 😀 (Update) - so I finally tried the chocolate chimichanga. The way I can describe it, is it's a chimichanga filled with nutella and peanuts topped with coco syrup. Incredibly sweet and rich! Reminded me of a box of goobers candy. I feel like they missed an opportunity with this dish by not giving it some spice or maybe a scoop ice cream or whip cream to help with thinning out the sweetness. Overall it wasn't bad but I felt it was missing something. Id give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Probably wouldn't get it again However my overall dining experience was still enjoyable. Sticking with 4 out of 5 stars. ...
Read moreThe last time we went here the breakfast burritos were great, (perfect). This time was very different. The bacon was fatty and badly undercooked which is not only gross but as a health risk. The potato’s were also undercooked. In truth, we ended up throwing them away and at 14 dollars that’s an expensive mistake. I am willing to remove this rating or replace it with a better rating if I get a response from management, stating that the issue has been addressed with staff. I called but was told that management wasn’t there and I am not sure that the person I spoke to fully understood what I was talking about.
I would recommend the Cris-cut Carne Asada, as they are the best around. My girlfriend loves their tacos. Until today we felt they had the best Breakfast Burritos in town. Again, I’m writing this review to make sure this problem is addressed and corrected in the future. I will give this place another chance because they have been on point...
