It's nice as a park. If you live closer to Los Angeles, it will take you over 2 hours to get there due to freeways being worked on and major traffic. It's an ugly drive to this place. Not scenic at all. If your going there for a Blues Festival, be expected to pay lots of money for everything. It will cost you big money to sit near the stage, to eat and to park. If you can afford the good seats and good area under the shade you sort of will enjoy the show if you like sitting in cheap plastic chairs. Those who are on a budget and can't afford to sit in the area closer to the stage and in the shade, will still have to pay a lot to get inside the park and will be expected to sit on the grass in the very hot sun. The food is expensive too. Since you are not allowed to bring food in, forcing you to buy from the trucks selling food, or umbrellas, you must suffer in the sun and possibly go without food and water for hours. If you can't afford the VIP parking out front, and there is not a lot of parking space there, they will send you far away to a huge dirt parking lot that people park where ever they want. When I left early, cars were parked across the lot preventing exit. I had to slowly drive my car over a curb, onto a sidewalk and over a very high curb and drop. I just wanted to get the hell out and get home. I suffered all day at this place. A friend had bought me a ticket and I had to go and stay for hours in the heat. Since it is close to the desert, as soon as the sun went down, it got super cold. I went from hot and perspiring to freezing in minutes. $40 entry fee, got me so far away from the stage. I could barely see the bands and the sound was off. The bands were not that good either. If you want to hear good music and enjoy your day/evening, just go where these bands normally play for free and indoors at nice venues. All the bands that were there, I have seen at nice restaurants, bars, and night clubs for free. They did have some benches in the shade, about 8-10, they were all taken. So in conclusion this place is just a giant park...
Read moreI got my first library card today in 49 yrs. My home computer went down, And I needed copies of a very important government document. Being totally computer illiterate, I figured it would be useless going to the Murrieta Public Library. But from first entering the library I was greeted and issued my card. From there the staff assisted me to a computer, took me through setting it up for what I needed ,then came to my rescue when I crashed it and lost everything I'd been working on. I owe all the thanks in the world to the staff at Murrieta Public Library. Supporting And funding our public libraries is definitely an outstand way of spending our tax dollars. THK u for your help goes out to the staff of THE MURRIETA...
Read moreGood park for walking between the library and City Hall. They have 2 or 3 drinking fountains one is a bit scary looking the other is fine. The path way has good shade for the most part. There are benches around the outside of the park and an amphitheatre / stage. A veterans/armed forces memorial and spots for future memorials. No restroom really except for some portapotties. There always seems to be a group of 2 to 4 guys that hangout under some shade closer to the city hall parking lot side, from what I have seen they never bug anyone. 3 Pokestops and 2 gyms for you Pokemon go players, and its not a nest of any kind as far...
