This was our first time visiting The Crafted Scone and could not be more impressed! The coffee was great and I was honestly surprised by the variety of scones- I was expecting maybe 4 regular flavors and 1 or 2 vegan or gluten free- there's like over 2 dozen total i think?? (One of the young ladies told me the bakers just make whatever flavors they want so they have some rotation, I think they had roughly 28 flavors when we were actually there and I heard mention of 2 others and saw a baker making a third). We only tried the Maple Pecan and I wouldn't call myself an expert in scones but I would definitely say that that has to be a perfect scone- it was so good my husband basically stole the whole thing and only left me with 2 bites!! 😆 He said "it was so good and I got lost in the music...it was like that scene in Ratatouille and I got transported back to childhood too." And the service is by far some of the best we have gotten. The young lady who was on the register was training her second shift and doing so well and any questions she couldn't answer the others who were doing other tasks but obviously were keeping an ear out for her if she were to need assistance were quick to step up to help answer for her. And more than that when I asked a question about the sweetness of a latte they even provided alternatives to keeping the flavor but adjusting the level of sweetness to my preferences without having to sub out for sugar free vanilla (which in my opinion doesn't taste like vanilla and was my next question if the SF vanilla would taste the same that I didn't even have to ask before the young lady provided that information). I absolutely love how knowledgeable they were and how ready they were to already offer alternatives and expand suggestions based on our current order. Normally we are the type to order to go so we can leave immediately but everyone had such positive attitudes we actually stuck around to sit and enjoy our coffees and share our scone in the corner. My husband said they looked like they were so happy and having so much fun that he almost wanted to work there too. All in all I think this has to be the most enjoyable coffee shop we've been to. We are definitely excited to go back again and try something...
Read moreOn the previous Monday, I visited this location and noticed a fly resting on one of the scones. Wanting to address the issue, I promptly informed one of the workers about the presence of the fly. The worker acknowledged my concern by looking at the fly and then at me. They proceeded to brush the fly off the scone but surprisingly chose not to discard the affected pastry. Despite my repeated statements about the presence of the fly, the worker continued to ignore me until finally uttering, "I heard you." Unfortunately, the scone still remained untouched.
Disappointed by this experience, I decided to visit the Temecula location, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Fast forward to that Thursday, I returned to the Temecula location and had a conversation with someone I believed to be the manager regarding the previous incident. To my pleasant surprise, she displayed genuine kindness and even offered an apology for the other store's behavior. Although I couldn't provide the name of the girl responsible for leaving the scone in the tray, I assured her that I would personally visit the location to obtain that information.
I drove to the Murrieta location and requested to speak with the manager. I proceeded to explain to her what had transpired on Monday. To my surprise, she displayed little concern for the matter, but she did mention that she would inform the owner.
After conducting some research on social media, I discovered that the girl in question was, in fact, the owner's daughter.
Mind blowing right
Now, I do understand that flies can find their way into establishments due to frequent door openings, but I strongly believe that if a fly lands on something edible, it should be promptly discarded because flies are...
Read moreI had the pleasure of witnessing an exceptional act of professionalism at a local establishment, and I feel compelled to commend Caprice, whose impeccable service and attention to detail truly stood out.
During my visit, another customer mistakenly picked up my drink, walked out, and returned to place it back on the counter. Caprice, who was sitting nearby folding boxes, immediately noticed this and without hesitation, informed the barista to remake the drink, unaware that I had observed the entire situation. It was clear the barista was reluctant to do so, but Caprice, with remarkable initiative, stepped behind the counter herself and remade the drink, calling out my name once it was ready.
Caprice's swift and thoughtful actions not only ensured my experience was flawless, but she also demonstrated a level of responsibility and care that could easily elevate her to the position of store manager. Her quick thinking saved the establishment from a potential issue, and it is clear she has the leadership qualities necessary to run the operation.
For this reason, I will certainly return. Well done, Caprice—your professionalism has earned a...
