I stopped in for a quick drink and a snack and Wallah....$24 stole from my pocket. The breakdown..... 2 watered down, from the booze bottle, Margarita's $6.50 ea X2 = $13.00 2 Pork Taco's, very basic Onion-cilan-tom but lacking Flav $4.50 ea X2= $ 9.00 A $2 dollar tip that killed me to leave $2.00 2.00 $ 24.00
I didn't want the whole 2 taco dinner of rice and beans included for $7.95 but instead ordered Ala cart 2 Pork Taco's. Ala cart items were not listed on the menu so I had no idea that I would be robbed of a price of $4.50 ea
When i sat down at the bar the Bartender was taking his lunch at the end of the bar, Although he was prompt and courteous, I was still approached by a server that was chewing his food and spitting projectiles toward my direction. I felt that was inappropriate because his focus the whole time was not of the costumer but instead to return to and finish his food. Another thing I observed was the Mgnt or owner and above Brtndr were arguing a business disputes in the open in front of the costumers. The issue was the Bill/Receipt from an earlier purchase from a Local Liquor store to replenish stock behind the bar that the bartender had made. Not a Legal Business move in my experience and I plan to report my observance.
My 40 minute experience was enough to convince myself that this restaurant is in need of reassessment and change. It is definitely...
Read moreOur waitress was the best part. She was very kind and attentive to her tables.. also, the place is pretty clean and the kids enjoyed being able to draw on the table place mat...that's where the good experience ends really. Unfortunately we ate here without actually reading the reviews. None of the food here is authentic. The salsa and chips are store bought, the "seafood" enchiladas are low quality shrimp(all still contained the vein), and the crab is imitation. I got the street tacos too, which if you've ever been to an actual street truck, you know right away they're not made the same. The chicken was hard in spots, super runny, and just didn't taste good at all..I didn't finish them. The guacamole isn't authentic either, unless you consider avocado and a seasoning packet authentic.. plus it's on the menu as "per market value".. I'm sorry, but did I just order the lobster from a high end restaurant?? Smh.. I could keep going on, but what's the point... I've seen where the owner or someone responds defending this place in other reviews, he may on this one, but I don't care.. read this review and be warned or don't.. up to you. If you're in the mood for semi - Mexican tasting food, then by all means stop in...
Read moreThere are two doors for the place, the one on the right goes to the restaurant and the other one goes to the bar, they aren't marked, so we ended up having to cut through the bar to go to the restaurant. It's a fairly casual, relaxed atmosphere. The waitress we had was in training, but did pretty good. You order with the waitress, and the food is brought out by the kitchen staff, nice and hot. The salsa that comes with the chips had good flavor, but not much spiciness, so you don't have to worry about burning your mouth. I had the chicken enchiladas in green tomatillo sauce, real good flavor, and dense. The chicken was shredded and the enchiladas were tightly packed with it. I personally think less shredded and more chunky chicken would have made it better, but I still enjoyed them. My husband had the vegan tacos and really enjoyed them. We were told that they have more vegan dishes than just the tacos, so I know we'll be back, just so he...
