UPDATE: 03/15/25: Second time stopping by (DI Tournament related again!). This time we slated enough time to sit down and relax for a while before having to start the day.

Everything from last year was still here - including the great food and service. My wife (g-free due to Celiac) tried their Mini Banana Bread Loaf and loved it - with no adverse reactions! Their specialty espresso drinks were again excellent (Blarney Stone Latte, and a Caramel Macchiato).

ORIGINAL REVIEW - MARCH 2024: A very nice and uniquely decorated local coffee joint. Found them this year while in town appraising for the Destination Imagination Sectional Tournament. Needed to be on-site by 06:30 on a Saturday, so I appreciated that they were open early!

Decided to come in vs the drive-through option. Nice decor that looks like a cross between a Flea Market and an Antique store. I appreciate places that don't try to look like "the other guys." Very warm and intriguing. A visual feast for those of us prone to adult A.D.D.! Had places allowing small groups to sit and enjoy if they wished.

As a first-timer, I greatly appreciated the online ordering option, as we were just a tad behind schedule and coming in from Bluemound in Brookfield. Was easy to navigate their site on my phone.

Arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected. Was easy to locate via GPS. Inside, the staff were exceptionally friendly. Had some conversation, my (delectable!) white mocha decaf, and was on my way before my original arrival time. A nice selection of coffee shop eats...

Worst and rudest service I have ever had anywhere! I ordered a large smoothie and asked if it could be put in 2 cups, as me and my daughter were sharing it. The young lady said "yes I can do that". Then she rings it up and charges me for 2 smalls, an extra $2.50. I said I ordered a large not 2 smalls. She got really snotty with me saying that I'm trying to cheat the system and screw them over (exact words), as I asked for 2 cups which is 2 smalls. My complaint was I wasn't told an extra cup was going to cost me $2.50. I have no problem not getting an extra cup. I would have gotten two different flavors otherwise, which by the way is one reason a large is cheaper than 2 smalls, you make only one flavor, not two. She also commented that a large is 24oz and the small is 12oz and because I asked for an extra cup, that equals 2 smalls. I didn't know how many ounces were in each, I just ordered a large. Instead of saying "I can do that" the correct response is "if you get an extra cup, you'll be charged for 2 smalls instead". Who screwed who here? Learn how to communicate. I ended swearing at this person and I never swear at anyone. I'm just dumb founded by the service there. I'm the one who got screwed over. Oh and as usual, they closed rather early, 5pm. We sat down for 3 minutes before being asked to leave (this was before the argument too). I'll never...

First off, this place really is Vintage-y, and so cool inside! We absolutely loved the decor and the layout of everything. The old salon chair is an especially cool addition to sit in. The one thing that wasn't very pleasant was how loud one of the machines were. I'm not sure if it was a blender or grinder but it was so loud to the point that if you're in a conversation, you're not going to be able to hear the other person until the noise stops. We had to stop our conversation multiple times over the course of the 40 minutes that we were there. The food was decent. The first time we came here, we asked for a mocha to be a "kids temperature" and not hot... and it ended up being very hot and had to cool off for quite a while. The coffee is really good and is our favorite (anodyne is our favorite).

We will likely return when it's a little warmer to sit outside and be away from...

Three people working, one couple in line before us. Ordered two sandwiches and waited 20 minutes. They completely forgot we ordered food. They were not busy, had three employees in neutral, yet found a way to forget our order. Come for the coffee and atmosphere. Dine somewhere else. Two sandwiches a coke and a water, $35. ******Update****? Wow. I left an honest review and the owner took offense and insulted us. She has since erased her remarks. I leave lots of honest reviews because I believe the feedback is important. This is the one and only one where the owner snapped back with an insult. We tipped well and left the table in order for one of the three workers who were doing nothing with something to do. Again, atmosphere awesome. Great coffee. Employees probably very nice people but didn't seem or work as if they wanted to be there.

Wife and I were looking for a new, quiet lunch spot since we live in the area, so we decided to check this out. First impression was great, based on the look of the interior decor; very warm and inviting. However, we were not too pleased when we were informed they had ran out of turkey. Kind of odd considering half their sandwiches on their menu contain turkey. Not a big menu by the way, about 10 sandwiches total: 5 breakfast, 5 lunch, with a couple salads. Then it took at least 15min to receive our order. Not good considering we were two of six people there, no one else waiting for their order, and they had two workers. Food wasn't anything unique either. However, their coffee selection is their redeeming quality since it's from Collectivo and Anodyne. But if you want good coffee AND a good sandwich, may as well just go to Collectivo.
