UPDATE: so based on the owner/managers negative response, I’ve decided to update my comments Apparently, if your profile picture does not look exactly like you, you never have dined in this person’s establishment ? So I’m going to assume any of the positive reviews are fake because I never saw any trees or cars or animals dining inside of this restaurant I’m also going to assume the few positive comments were from the owners, friends, family, and/or employees Clearly, this owner manages through video surveillance and not actively in person and this is a sign of a bad manager. Also, I would get your money back for whatever you paid for your surveillance system as you cannot currently see a 6’2” redheaded male with a beard get up with his drink, walk up to the bar, set it down and tell someone this taste terrible and be completely ignored by the bartender … FYI, we dined in July 24 5:45 PM, we sat in a booth in the main dining room, how long the partition wall opposite of the bar.
As for saying, I am biased based on my last comment. Well, I understand where that’s coming from, however, I have never one step foot into this building, even with the previous establishments. If you like bland, boring, flavorless “Gringo” food and watered down drinks, this place is for you…
First the positive: restaurant is clean, recently renovated and new furniture. I promise you will get an immediate table as place is empty.
Cons: food is the most bland, boring, flavorless non-authentic food you will find. Food is clearly pre-paired then reheated in a microwave. Absolutely no special “Mexican” dishes on menu. Every day they have drink specials and happy hour bit drinks are all ice, and no alcohol LOL! So the owner replied claiming I never dined at their establishment, my girlfriend and I both were there Monday evening July 24, 2023, 5:45 PM the last few minutes of their “happy hour “. We both ordered the chimichanga platter as that seemed the most appealing, and we both had the terrible piña coladas. We were seated in a booth outside of the bar through the open window area. We were served by a young woman probably in her early 20s. Check your camera footage again. Obviously you don’t manage in person you do it through surveillance that is a sign of bad management right there. Over all, over priced
This place sadly will be out of business soon, which is sad, as I like to patronize local owned businesses. Maybe if Muskego is lucky, they will leave and a supper club will...
Read moreI had an hour off for lunch and thought I would try to grab a quick bite at the newest Mexican restaurant in Muskego. This was a mistake!
My many years experience of eating at Mexican restaurants tells me that this Mexican restaurant is very non-traditional.
Traditionally Mexican restaurants offer you chips and salsa once you are seated, this one didn't.
As I glanced over at all the other tables, I noticed that their tables also lacked a chips and salsa basket as well.
As I previewed the menu I noticed that it lasted a lunch menu. Traditionally Mexican restaurant's offer a lunch menu that contains a smaller portion of the dinner options. This one doesn't, thus anything ordered has a dinner portion with a dinner price.
Knowing I was unable to eat a dinner sized meal I choose to order an appetizer (queso dip with chorizo).
Traditionally queso dips are creamy and full of flavor. This one was not. It was served half melted and hard. So hard that I was unable to use a chip to dip in it.
I politely asked if this was the right cheese and I was told yes. I then showed the waitresses it lacked creaminess and the cheese was not melted. She then took it back to the kitchen. Where it was reheated and then served.
The queso was bubbling when returned for and then became rubbery within a min, so much so that I had to cut it with a knife and fork in order to eat it. A few mins later the cheese became a congealed blob and I was unable to consume it.
All I wanted was a simple traditional Mexican dish for lunch and all I got was microwave cheese on a plate.
When the waitress came over, I said, "This is unbelievable, I then lifted the blob of congealed cheese up with my fork and asked how am I supposed to eat this with chips? This queso is not creamy."
Moments later she handed me the bill. I paid $13 for microwaved rubberized cheese, I left dissatisfied and hungry. To add insult to injury I then had to make a pit stop at a fast food restaurant to eat before returning back to work.
Therefore I am unable to give this restaurant a good rating. If you are interested in a non-traditional experience this is your place, but if you are interested in a traditional experience I would suggest...
Read moreFood was crazy fast. Upon seating, our server took our drink order and then came back a few minutes later for our food order. After he took our order he asked us if we wanted chips and salsa…. Isn’t that one of the main things most people look forward to when dining at a Mexican restaurant, chips and salsa? I was confused and thrown off-guard by this question so I replied no. All I could see was $$ Dollar signs flashing in my mind and I was nervous by how much they were going to charge for the chips and salsa, which honestly would have been fine if there was a charge it was just weird that he asked us after the fact if we wanted chips and salsa and it wasn’t clear how much they were going to be. Most people don’t have a problem paying a small amount for chips and salsa as long as the server is upfront with this information. Food was very fast, hot, and had excellent flavor. The server tried to clear my plate when I was barely halfway done but honestly it might be his first job he just needs to not be so antsy when trying to clear people’s food so fast… Whoa.. so we just got our food two minutes ago, and it came in less than 2 minutes, we have not even been here for 10 minutes and now you’re trying to take my plate away… bro slow your roll! No complaints at all in the long-run… I am just passing this information on to help everyone there to learn from all of these fun little quirks.
I see this restaurant being very successful keep up...
