This was such a disappointing experience. We had visited Curry Kitchen 2 years ago and loved their Naan Pizzas. However, today's experience was horrible and I would not recommend.
The naan pizzas are now nearly double the price as before, so around $14 or $15 per pizza instead of $7 or $8. You can still see the prices crossed out in sharpie on the menus. We ordered the Paneer Tikka Pizza and the Butter Chicken Pizza and they were severely lackluster. Both of the naans itself did not taste like naan - it was dry and thin like a normal pizza (the previous tasted delicious and spongy). The paneer tasted dry, crumbly and not fresh (as though it was about to spoil). The butter chicken pizza did not even use the correct sauce (butter chicken sauce) and the chicken was very try and tasted like Asian Buffet teriyaki chicken. Both the chicken and paneer were just tossed on top of the pizza instead of coated in sauce and overall so unappetizing.
The waitstaff (blond lady with glasses) was also incredibly rude. Upon entering the restaurant, instead of welcoming guests into the space, she asked us loudly "CAN I HELP YOU?". As though I would be coming to a restaurant to do anything but to eat. The restaurant was also freezing cold and nearly empty on a Saturday at noon. When she noticed that I did not eat the paneer, she asked why and instead of acknowledging the issue, proceeded to patronizingly tell me that it was different because it's handmade and that I didn't know what paneer tasted like because this was not like a normal cheese. I assure you that I've had paneer before many times and know that it is not "normal cheese". Never have I tasted such a disgusting paneer. I hope that I've saved myself from food poisoning here by not eating it. She also did not offer any way to improve my experience.
I'm not sure if the original owners left or what happened, but I'm so sad that this place has gone downhill so badly. For such an price and the bad attitude of the staff, you'd be much better taking your business elsewhere. We will not be...
Read moreI have visited this place around 5 times and it was good until my most recent visit. Went in close to 6pm, as usual there were loads of takeout orders and only a couple of dine ins. Ten takeout orders must have gone out the door during my whole visit, while I had to wait an hour for my food. Sat down and waited twenty minutes or more just to take our order. Then waited another thirty or more minutes just to be served the appetizer, which was good. Around twenty minutes after that the dishes arrive, chicken curry and lamb saag. During this time the people next to my table were constantly talking about if they would see their food within the hour, and a couple seated nearby left before even ordering. Anyways, both dishes my table received were nowhere near the quality I expect of this place. Sauce was bland, little flavor and no aroma. On top of this the server was frustrating, he did not communicate clearly and spoke under his breath, and trying to get my point across to him was EXTREMELY difficult. After tasting the dishes I went to the counter and asked for a refund of the meal excluding the appetizer, to which he said he could not. I said the meal was not up to the standard I expect from this kitchen, and that the wait for it was frustrating. I asked if there was someone else to speak to who could help remedy the situation, he said there was not. $56 was the bill for everything, appetizer, two mains, and naan bread which came out even later than the main meal so I didn't even get to try it as I was already at the counter. Extremely disappointed by this experience and I would...
Read moreIf you just want a quick answer as to if you should get food from here, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE! Curry kitchen/naan pizza has by far the lowest standard of service you could imagine. I have ordered from there ~4 times, and not a single time has an order been correct. This last time I tried getting the pizza and my order wasn’t even close to right (was missing 5 toppings between 2 pizzas). One of my pizzas wasn’t only missing 3 toppings, but also randomly had broccoli stems on it. I mentioned the broccoli when complaining how many toppings were missing and the staff adamantly said they don’t serve broccoli meanwhile pointing at a pizza covered in stems of broccoli. Eventually we were told they would prepare our order again if we gave them another 30 minutes, and when we came back OUR ORDER WAS STILL NOT RIGHT?!? One of the pizzas was now missing a different 3 toppings, and had some chewed looking collard greens on it? I asked where the jalapeño was and the staff pointed at the very clearly not jalapeño and told me it was just ground up… I asked if I could get a refund after waiting for 2 hours to get my food (which still wasn’t right), and the guy told me that he is unable to do that. I asked if I could cross off my tip from my receipt that they clearly don’t deserve and he told me that was impossible too. This place took 2 hours to give me the wrong pizzas 2 times and still wouldn’t refund me and even argued that they didn’t mess anything up. Speechless, never waste your money...
