Topshelf Liquor Bar & Pizza — Restaurant in Muskegon

Ive heard from a few friends this place isn't 'black Friendly' . I placed a to go order and casually walked into the restaurant. The bar was half full and I'd say the place was about 65% full. I went to the bar and patiently waited for someone to cash me out or even greet me. They csme my direction and asked the white couple next to me if they wanted refills. They filled their cups, came back and gave them a recept then walked away. Not only did all 3 people at the bar completely act like I wasn't there, when they had free time they looked for anything else to but help me. The man at the bar clocked out and left. I will add I was the only dark skinned person in the building and felt really uncomfortable with how I was somehow invisible to all the employees. I tried my best not to get angry as they stood right next to me trying not to even look in my direction. FINALLY a kind gentleman with shoulder length brown hair came all the way from the back of the kitchen and helped me out. Took 30 seconds to ring me up and gave me my food. I've waitressed on and off for about 8 years. I can clearly tell when people are busy - overwhelmed and when they just dont feel like being bothered.... I can definitely say I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone my color or...

When we arrived, we thought it was closed, since there was no one else in the place. However, the staff welcomed us and informed us that it was last call for the kitchen, it was an hour and a half before they closed (according to Google hours, which aren't always accurate), so that was a little surprising, however, given that no one else was in there, we understood, and we were hungry, so we weren't going to complain. The waitress told us that only fried foods were available at that point. We both ordered the chicken strips and they were great! Our waitress Ava was very sweet. So, while we didn't necessarily get to order what we may have liked, the food that we did get was great and service was outstanding! I would definitely give this place another try, and try to get there earlier, so that we weren't limited to only...

It took a while for a server to even acknowledge us. Then she took a drink order and it took a while for her to even bring them back. Once she did drop them off instead of grabbing our food order she excused herself and said she would be right back. Took her 20mins or more to come and get our food order. I ordered a loaded Bloody Mary. She dropped my drink off with out any garnishments of any kind and forgot it also comes with a side car. To top it all off I was charged for a loaded one and the food took forever to come out. By the time we got our food we asked for the bill and boxes.
