Wendy's — Restaurant in Muskogee

20230821T1420 - I arrived at approximately 1:40 and there was an employee sitting by the front door playing on his phone. He got up to take my order, which was mobile, and informed me that the pretzel bun for the sandwich I ordered was out. This was not reflected in the online app for this location like it should be. It was the only reason I came here. He asked if I would accept a substitute bun and I said yes since I already paid online. After I got my food 3 minutes later and for the next 20 minutes , he was glued to that phone, only stopping to take orders for the trickle of customers. Over the course of the next 5 minutes, two other employees joined him, just playing on their phones in the customer area. This may have been their break, I don't know, but it didn't appear that way. To his credit, he was super helpful to an elderly gentleman that was hard of hearing and needed a cane. I also noticed that while there were plenty of employees and almost no customers, the floors were filthy, multiple tables had trash on them, & both trash bins had stacks of about 20 dirty trays. The restroom that I used was sufficiently clean and everything was functional, however the toilet paper dispenser was open and empty. The Pub Burger was good even with the substitute bun, but it was ugly and smooshed. The fries were tasty. Spicy nuggets with Ghost Pepper Ranch...

Wendy's if your unfamiliar is a fast food place that has for many many years had fresh never frozen beef, it was one of the first fast food places I recall having several salads like the good taco salad. They also have baked potatoes on the menu they went to a natural cut fry with sea salt a few years ago. A longtime favorite is the frosty it's a soft serve ice cream and delicious. I enjoy their chili. They have chicken patties and nuggets in both regular and spicy. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that bacon has a large place on the menu. That's all general and applies to the chain as a whole. It's a 4 star fast food As for this last visit it was unusual and why the rating at this one is low. They were out of alot of the menu items and some things I consider essential like water yes water they had no water to drink none in front or back to be had the soda was a freestyle machine usually alot of choices they were limited to root beer, coke, sprite and sparkling water no flavors just those 4 things it was odd. There was no chili. Frosty machine was down. All in all they had...

I should have written this review years ago instead of leaving 5 stars, but this is why I think that this particular Wendy's is amazing.

I was doing online classes for college and needed internet access. I stopped in at Wendy's, asked if I could use their internet, paid for a delicious strawberry watermelon tea (which they unfortunately don't have anymore) and would do my school work.

For hours.

This would be my routine. I would always ask, order the tea, do work, and then I would make sure to leave an hour before they close (because it's annoying to have people in the lobby before closing imo).

The workers were ALL polite. One girl even chatted to me about her mom, that she was going to school too, and even made my tea on subsequent visits. Loved the chill atmosphere and how happy all the workers seemed.

I hope every one of them are doing amazing in their lives (especially the girl and her mom) just for being so awesome to a broke...
