AQUINO'S Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Where do I begin? #1 My family of 4 and another family with 5-We all sat together we got our drinks. Our server was amazing from beginning to end. We get our drinks, our soup, our salads and then the chef comes over to start cooking and I see a roach crawling on my sauce tray. We let our server know and he goes to get im assuming the manager and he tells us that we can move to another table so we do. We move we get fresh drinks fresh everything. So the chef comes back over and starts cooking (again). The food was delicious this was our 2nd time there. The food was once again good. We get our check and after seeing a roach I feel that as a manager he should have took it upon himself to take care of our entire table after we stayed even after seeing a roach. We got 5% taking off. Not even $10. So we ask to speak to the manager. We let him know that it is unacceptable so our waiter comes back over with another set of checks and this time it’s %25 off. The other family sitting at our table were not satisfied with the %25 which neither were we so we ask to speak to the manager again. At this point it should have been the manager bringing our checks back out to us instead of putting it on our server. The manager gets to our table with another guy and the other family lets him know that we wanted at least %50 off. The other guy with the manager took all of our checks and said “I’ll be right back let me see what I can do”. As we’re waiting on our checks for the 3rd time one of the guys that works there (not a chef) brings out the chefs cart with all the food on it he takes the tray with the zucchini and onions sits it on the FLOOR THE CARPET and then picks it right back up and sits the tray that he just sat on the floor on top of the raw chicken and other meat. The bottom of the tray that was just on the carpet is now sitting on top of someone’s food that they’re goanna eat. I do not recommend this place. Our server tonight was amazing and I feel bad that he had to deal with all of that instead of the manager being adult enough to handle it on his own. but after tonight I will not be returning and I’m sure the other family that was sitting with us won’t be...

Very Rude manager. We spent $253 on very mediocre meal where they brought appetizer in middle of dinner service . I ordered sushi appetizer but got no small dish for soy sauce but others at table got. one person only ordered sushi but they gave her more attention and food she didn't even order. Meanwhile someone else ordered Filet mignon Rare that was over cooked to medium with no sauce or flavoring at all. The show was same at each table. Chef show for kids was ok but again rushed. wait staff was helpful pleasant saying no rush but then manager came and started clearing our table not asking if we were done. One person didn't get finish wine and another was still eating dessert and drinking sake. Slam bam thank you mam. Don't waste your money. Same rude attitude as China buffet but 10 times more expensive And food is blah. I told manager she was Rude rushing us off table but she just walked off said nothing and came back talking loudly saying it was time to set up for another 14 people coming in. Just a money machine for this restaurant manager and I feel bad for the people having to work there. No respect for customers, just want to rip you off and put you out the door. Just so unbelievably Rude. And overpriced besides. Stupid because only catering to tourists but being a local I can tell you I will never go back or ever recommend them to any visitors. There are 2000 other restaurants in this area better to choose than this place. We we're there early but didn't seat us for 15 mins and we were there for a little over an hour before they just cleared table forcing us to leave. For that amount of money for mediocre food and rude service in the end tourists better off spend a little more and go to Pirate Show dinner or Medieval Times dinner show at least get something for your money and not just booted out the door before you're even finished. Skip this place and take out from Ginza Japanese next to Publix. Total waste of money and incredibly Rude and obviously just don't care attitude. Local who...

We planned a birthday celebrating my husband's 80th birthday & my granddaughter "s birthday! We showed on our cell phone our confirmation for 6:30 pm upon arrival. The reservations was made the week before. We didn't get the early bird specials assuming people would take children earlier. Small, undisciplined children were running around in the lobby around us. We asked the hostess not to sit us with those wild children. She said there were 3 of us ; we would have to wait another half hr to an hr? We don't eat that late so 7:05 they finally seated us and sat with a couple with 3 children; very well mannered. However, they sat that child who was running around and 5 other children with 1 adult at the table next to us. They sat the birthday cake next to my grandchildren and these wild children were yelling, crying, screaming we could not hear ourselves talk. There were rooms in the back which children & adults could have sat. We don't expect to pay over $160 in this kind of atmosphere. We took our young people to Chuck e Cheese when ours were young. The worst part was I contacted Aquino's today and spoke to the hostess since the owner/manager was not there. I thought they should give us a credit or some adjustment. I suggested children in the future should sit in the closed rooms which they had. She said how was the food and I said good but very stressful to eat by then. We brought most of it home in boxes. I thought I would give them a chance to discuss this before putting anything of f/b and give them the opportunity to do something nice. She said they we could put something negative if we wanted; we have to sit with whoever they sit next to us. I'm sure you've guessed by now, we will never return there.
