Man! What in the world is going on?? Been going to this bar for almost 30 years since it’s opening in the later 90’s. With Tony quitting, Amanda and Pete quitting I would like to know what in the world is happening. This has been mine and my family’s neighborhood bar for years. When we walk in we head straight to the pool tables and our regular drinks were brought to us. Now…we waited so long at the bar the other night and were not served or recognized that we decided not to have a drink. Not sure if someone else has taken over or of the management has changed but for Tony, a bartender who has worked there for as long as I can remember, to quit and for the service to now be this bad…something is going on. How sad. This bar has been a staple on the north end for the community for years. Unfortunately, we will be going somewhere else. And no, Delilah is not me real name and no, I’m not a close friend of Tony’s, Amanda’s or Pete’s. Just a long time customer who’s so disappointed that the bar we hung out in every night at in the 90’s after our restaurant jobs well before the the renovations when the bar was on the far right and the next door restaurant was owned by the children of all of the locals favorite Chinese in the 70’s, Bamboo Gardens, was next door(believe it was a bar prior to that. We would even frequent this second Jimmagan’s that was at the old Shoney’s location on the waterway at restaurant row in the 2000’s. Guys,...
Read moreThis is my go to bar in Myrtle. It's a great local dive. The food is excellent and the drinks are cheap. The tourist hot spots can burn a hole in your pocket quickly. The local spots will stretch your wallet a lot further. This place has 20 or more TVs and has sports on all the time. If you want to watch a game, eat some food, grab drinks, or even play pool and darts, this is the spot for you. The staff has always been so friendly. If you become a regular they will get to know you. They serve food late, so if you're staying out late and like to snack as you drink, this is a solid option. It's a diverse crowd, which I love. Everyone feels welcome and just seems to get a long. It's usually a mix of younger and older, tourists and locals, black and white, where everyone is just watching sports and hanging out. Pro tip: check the board behind the bar with the daily special. It's usually a food item that isn't on the regular menu and never...
Read moreWe came in a couple of years ago and decided to make this our home bar. We have gone in every winter, once or twice a week. Loved watching football there. We decided to quit going in during the week. The day time bartender has really gone down hill. Just our opinion but she seems to be taking way too many shots at work. Last time we were there she actually yelled out that anyone who didn't think she was working fast enough could just f-ing leave. Maybe 20 years is enough. Tim's cooking is awesome. Going to miss it. Tried watching football today but the guy hanging with the "manager" was clearly over served and was screaming obscenities over and over. I'm not a prude but no one want to hear this over and over when trying to enjoy a game. Our money is important to us. We will find a place that truly appreciates...
