First off, this is NOT a hotel! Im an owner, (308)and like many, I rent short-term or to snowbirds. (ON Airbnb) This is a top-notch private condominium community. 60% of this building are full-time residents. I do think some just aren't acceptable of guests because of disrespect to the property. I think people have felt it is discriminatory, but most of it is just because they are trying to keep it a nice building. Many visitors can be disrespectful, smoking on the property, bringing pets and other things that they just prefer to try to get away with. but so far, my guests have been pleasant MOST maintenance staff, security, and residents are kind. If you want a party place, this is NOT it. This is a QUIET neighborhood. Good for singles. Couples and small family. It really is better for couples. There is a park for children down the street a little near the beach. Also nice to sit and look at the beautiful ocean. Owner pets only, no smoking on property, and the parking garage can be intimidating, but take it SLOW.. We have made it with our minivan, and I've seen pickups make it without damage. After a couple of times, you will get the hang of it.

Pros: Our room was very spacious with an amazing view from the balcony. Rooms come with a full sized refrigerator, with dishes. Free wifi, with indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel is located away from the busiest part of the boardwalk, which was great because it is very crowded where the other hotels are located, which makes navigating difficult. The hotel is also very kid friendly. Cons: There are not very many cons. The biggest negative for us was the parking. There is a parking garage for the guests and it is very small and difficult to navigate through. My family and I stayed for 4 days and everytime we wanted to leave to go out to eat or take in the sights, we dreaded leaving to navigate the treacherous parking garage. My advice for anyone planning to stay at this hotel is to take your time through the parking garage. Also if you have a problem or a simple question, there isn't any staff around to help. The hotel office is located 2 miles from the hotel. But there is a phone number you can call if any problem arises and the staff is very friendly.

First great views so can't take anything away from that... Old building built with concrete which is great so really can't hear your neighbors above and to the sides much.... Problem is getting to your room lol... Only 3 elevators and 1 the whole week we visited was down so the only 2 that were in service sure were put to the test... Pool and hot tub hours 9:30-9-30 which earlier in the morning to a little later in the evening sure would be more convenient... Gym was locked/closed... Steam sauna hit and miss with the original 30+ years old buttons to try and run it.... No restaurant for food or drink on premise.... Parking is horrible!! The garage only pull in if you have a car and it's still tight

Where to begin???? Came into the Ocean Forest Plaza building and after 10 minutes I found a resident of the building. He told me that he had been telling management for a long time to hang a sign saying guests of Sands Resorts to go up several blocks to their hotel to check in. Room was so hot and had to call the 800 number for reservations to get maintenance guy to come to our room. He had to change the air filter because it was so clogged (not following appropriate maintenance schedule). No front desk in our building for any assistance. Pool was closed the very first night and the pool guy tells me he doesn't know what to tell us because the hotel had a falling out with another??? Our room was still not cooling so our ocean view room was not so enjoyable because we had to leave the curtains closed and I had to buy a fan. The room felt nasty, no linens for sofa bed, and get this....the phone in our room didn't work...not broken disconnected. If you want to use wi-fi don't have even try because it doesn't work. My sister had to change rooms the first night because of roaches in her room, even in the dishwasher. My parents room was soooooo nasty that they had to buy cleaning supplies to take the smell away. Also had to keep blankets on the furniture because it was soooooo nasty! Back to my room, shower curtain had some folds that were stuck together and when I pulled them apart.....yep.....mold and mildew. Forget about management, I spoke to two managers and never got to see the General Manager because he was a either "always busy or not available". There is a very unprofessional guy with quite the attitude at the front desk. If you want to be miserable, be treated terribly, and have ABSOKUTELY NO SUPPORT OR MANAFEMENT you can reserve through the Sands Resorts to stay here. One manager on duty that I dealt with had an attitude and got very defensive when I would speak to him about issues and his front desk staff. Not sure what kind of management training this resort offers. I have been treated better in many different there businesses. We had to end up cutting out vacation short because of this company. After much conversation and no satisfaction, we got management to put our last two nights back on our card...hopefully it will be back in my account in 3-5 business days. This resort and company is terrible and I wish that we didn't even have to give them one star. Don't waste your time. I promise you that they ruined my vacation....the first real vacation my family has had in 8 years. I will NEVER cone back to Myrtle Beach if that tells you how poorly we where treated...by a company....on...

This was a quick get awy trip to just relaxh for me, my husband my son and his wife. The hotel would have gotten a higher rating if my son had not discovered red bite marks all over his shoulders, arms and 2 places on hid head (he keeps it shaved because he does not like the way it grows). We had a 2 bedroom condo on the 23rd floor and the veiw of the ocean and surroundngs was spectacular. The condo was 2 story with the bed rooms upstairs. The steps up were somewhat steep. Upstairs was beautiful with a full bath off of each bedroom, very nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The downstairs furniture, however, was terrible. their were r sofas that I was uncomfortable even sitting on. One had some steffng or something sticking out of it (I woudn't sit on that one. the coffee table was all scratched up and the dining table was not too inviting either. Don't get me wro, even the downstairs was imaculately clean. The flooors were covered in fairly new looking planking looking vynyl and the walls were vry well krpted with no chips or stains. I realize that it is very difficult to maintain furniture or anything that is being rented by so many people and some that don't always value their furniture or surroundings and certainly don't if it is not theirs. I rented out my house once while I was away at school and I learned the hard way not to o that again.|The bites on my son were found the day we were leaving there and he had fallen asleep on the rattier sofa that night. He and his wife were in the back bedroom and she had no bites so I assume that sofa was the infested culprit. I did notify Hosteeva, who manages the condo and they sent a nice apology. They also stated that the condo was rented after we checked out and there have been no reports of bug bites. I am just reporting our experience. Upstairs and downstairs wer like 2 different places. If there was more acceptable (clean nd untorn) furniture downstairs and my son had not been bitten I would give this...
