Knowledge Perk Coffee Company — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

I was very excited to try The Knowledge Perk, as it was recommended to me from my friend. My friends and I came here for breakfast this morning and we were disappointed.

I ordered the matcha latte which tasted very watered down. I wouldn’t recommend it.

My friend ordered a bacon egg and cheese turnover. The cashier explained that it might be a 15 minute wait, which she was okay with waiting for. However, the cashier recommended a bacon egg and cheese bagel, which she went with. She also ordered another bagel with avocado spread. Right after she paid, they told her that they were out of the avocado spread and they asked if she wanted a different spread. She got the Nutella.

When her food came out, the bacon egg and cheese bagel came out with sausage instead of bacon. She brought it back up and politely explained that she hates to be a bother but she asked for bacon and not sausage (she hates sausage). However the cashier said that that was what she asked for, and didn’t offer to remake or refund it.

The bagel and Nutella came out and they only have her this tiny quarter size packet of Nutella that barely covered one half of the bagel when she originally paid extra for the avocado spread.

Upon entering, it smelled like heaven. Two gentlemen greeted us and we looked at the menu. I knew off the bat what I wanted from the specials sign outside. So I ordered and while my husband was looking at the menu, one of the guys pointed out another special menu. Everything looked so good, the pastries looked fresh too. I ordered the cookie butter latte with oat milk and my husband got the strawberry (something) chai. Our drinks were made quickly and looked beautiful. And when I say it was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had…. Oh man. I couldn’t stop drinking it but I wanted to because I wanted to save it and have it for as long as possible! My husbands chai was fantastic as well. Refreshing and perfectly balanced. The guys did a great job. The inside was clean and inviting. As locals, we will definitely be back...

First time here at Knowledge Perk, and didn't realize that they had locations in other parts in the state (Spartanburg - which is where we're from). Grabbed two Tiramisu lattes and an Asiago Breakfast bagel and both items were phenomenal. Great customer service on the way in. and while ordering. Only reason why I did not give a full 5 stars would be the Menu - All of the plain coffee stuff is on the TVs - stuff that I would assume isnt ordered much. I would suggest having the food items, seasonal beverages, and other items on the TV instead of on a bunch of paper menus around the pastry cases would ease confusion, and would be more promoting. As you walk in you look at the TV for the menu....
