As others have said, for a place with "Coffee" in the name, it's "funny" how our server unflinchingly served us the dregs of a pot, then set the remaining "dregs of the dregs" BACK on the warmer/burner, in plain view, I'm talking like the last 1/4 inch in that pot. My wife remarked "I hope you didn't want any more coffee, cause you will be getting that" calling the roasting bitter dregs to my attention . . . sigh. Ordered the classic American classic breakfast, chicken fried steak and eggs, asked for extra gravy, server said "We'll have to charge you for a side of gravy, it's a $1.50." Um, no thanks, I didn't want a BOWL of gravy, just enough to cover the steak, at least. Didn't get that, and nothing on the plate was actually hot, literally as if the "cook" had made the steak, then the hash browns, then the toast, and finally the eggs. Of all four items, the eggs MIGHT have been warm enough to legally serve as food. Once bite of everything, sent it back, ask for a CHEESEBURGER to replace it, just a cheeseburger on a plate, nothing else, to replace the breakfast I didn't even eat. Wife cheerfully reminds the server that "He likes cheese!" Didn't get it. Got a perfectly round, looong dead disc of beef product. Yup, a plain hamburger patty well done beyond edible . . . on a plate . . . nothing else. ?! Same exact round "chicken fried steak" I had earlier rejected as too cold, too dead, and too tough to saw through, even with a "steak" knife. Both the hamburger and the "steak" looked like what comes out of giant bags from Costco or Winco maybe? Got charged full price. Grandma, owner? doesn't care if LOCALS get terrible food and service, charges them full price, (won't deduct a nickle, even if you don't EAT your food) then tells you that you are no longer welcome? LOL no worries there! We won't EVER be going back there, which is too bad, because we live nearby. The second star in my review here is because this horrible mediocrity of a "coffee shop" (server casually tosses a bottle of COLD "Mr's B" syrup on the table, "In case you want more syrup on your french toast)" is conveniently located next to a good burger joint, Blazin' Burgers, and their food is delicious! Got a nice bacon burger and ate in my car . . . outside of this terrible place. Locals avoid at all cost. You can...
Read moreThey ranking is not because of the food but rather because of the experience we had to day a Saturday with the opening of the 3rd phase. Will you happen going to the coffee cup cafe when it was located on carroty not far from the airport then they moved to the boulevard and Napa and opened up another one in Kuna and the other 1 over by interstate 84 between Fruitland and caldwell which I believe was the black Canyon restaurant or something to that effect before. We have never had an issue with of food or their service at appreciated the fact that the staff in the Napa location and kuno location always remembered us. Our surprise today was how the Napa location on the boulevard was handling the separation issue of patron's given our current status with the virus. My wife and I are by no means paranoid about the virus but are not fools also and do take certain precautions when being around other such as wearing a mask whether or not they are and it has been our experience in one of our other favorite restaurants close to us where they are doing separation of patron's by not having every table open for service, but every other table for social distancing. They did not also allow a gathering of people in the entry way and made sure that nothing was left on the table that people could share such as the condiments and containers of sugar. To our surprise upon entering the coffee cup the lobby area had a large amount of people gathered together all waiting to be seated and also those coming to pay their bill that were leaving and this caused a lot of congestion and I would say about 99% the people were not wearing mask besides the help. I noticed the reported number of viruses in Idaho a few weeks ago was at 2,100 as of today it is now at 3,111. Yes people can be foolish and live their lives the way they want to and risk other people's lives as well and there seems to be this notion that the virus has gone away and it's now OK all of which is false. We were very much surprised the coffee cup was not taking the precaution that they should have and as a result it will be a long time before we go back to any of...
Read moreWent in for a brunch date. I had the chicken fried steak. First time ordering one for myself. 👎🏻 The hamburger patty had an out of date stale fridge flavor that was too hard to get past to finish it. The breading was not crispy, part of which may be due to the plain under seasoned gravy (I did find 1 piece of sausage) the unappealing hash browns were mehhh, but edible. Credit for the good over easy eggs. The coffee was disappointing.
My date had the Eggs Benedict not her first time I've never ordered E.B. before but know when the Hollandaise sauce has broken and would not serve it to a customer, a family member maybe but that's at home. (I guess she was treated like family?) Hash browns were the same. OJ was good.
Seating was plentiful and no wait. I have driven by this place many times and hardly noticed it. I won't say stay away but keep your expectations low... maybe a little lower than that. The interior had a dark 1970 old home vibe not very cohesive for a breakfast/lunch eatery....
