UPDATE: I’ve now had two bad experiences with Shay at this store. She’s quick to tell you what can’t be done and slow to offer complete, accurate solutions.
Most recently, I needed to start a new line or transfer my number because the persons plan I was on had an unpaid balance and so I was not able to use or pay my individual line. Shay offered to set up a new line with a different number — but then told me that if we suspended or canceled my old line, my existing number would “go back to the pool” and there was no guarantee I could get it back. That’s simply not true. I’ve transferred this same number multiple times over the years between different carriers (including Verizon, Straight Talk, and AT&T). It can absolutely be transferred if you know what you’re doing.
This wasn’t just a case of limited options — it was incomplete and misleading information that could have caused me to lose my number if I hadn’t known better. I had to drive across town in rush hour to the Caldwell AT&T, where the Manager, Laura, gave me the correct info, set up a new line, put my old number in limbo and even attempted some manager overrides and assured me that even if my old number didn’t transfer before the overdue bills on the old plan were paid off that it would definitely transfer automatically once the balance was paid and had me set up in under 10 minutes.
If other AT&T locations can consistently fix what this store fumbles, there’s a serious training and professionalism issue here.
Original Review : Called in today to get some help with my home WiFi. Shae answered the phone and was immediately short, dismissive and, negative. An I can’t attitude. She told me she couldn’t help me over the phone in any way and that I either had to go into the store and set it up there or call AT&T customer service. I drove into the store and was waiting. Shae came back from lunch, I explained that I was the one that called and she says i don’t know why you brought that here you here you have to set it up at home. She started rambling off about what she couldn’t do in a disgustingly annoyed tone. So I drove over to the Caldwell store off Ustick and the manager help me said up my WiFi and account registration and within less than 10 minutes I was on my way home.
This store should be embarrassed to have an employee with such a...
Read moreJust switched from Verizon to AT&T because I heard that they had better family plans. I purchased 3 new phones and a watch with service . I also purchased cases and screen protectors for devices. My screen protector cracked within less than 24 hours. ALONSO was the AT&T rep that was helping us. He did not have any answers to any of my questions regarding warranty website, corporate number or store number and stated that the only way I could get a new screen protector was to pay $10. I asked him why he was not being helpful, giving us any information to basic questions or providing any customer service. He was aloof, rude and told us that we can go to another store for service. I told him that I was not going to go elsewhere since I had just spent a good amount of money the previous day opening up 4 lines. I paid the $10 to put on a new screen protector and as my husband and I drove off, we realized that he put on a 15 pro max screen protector on my phone that is a 16 Pro max phone. The screen protector is to small. I am not happy with the experience. I am going back to have them put on the right size screen protector the next day I have off work. I would not recommend going to this location for services and I definitely would not recommend ALONSO. I would recommend going to the Corporate locations in Meridian and Caldwell. I spoke with them and they apologized for the experience and stated to come to them moving forward for better customer service and to have...
Read moreWent into the store to look at new phones to replace my Wife and I's old Galaxy S8 phones with the intent on buying a couple generations back instead of the newer phones as I was trying to keep my bill down. The salesman told us we'd get a $1000 credit no matter the condition as both our phones had cracks. Trusting that he knew what he was talking about we purchased the newer S23 instead of sticking with the old plan of getting older generation phones since we'd get this credit.
Today we get texts that our we are getting the market value of our phones as they did not meet the eligibility requirements for one of their promotions. Now, I'm stuck with the more expensive bill than I intended because I trusted the word of the salesman and I have nothing to take back to their boss showing I was lied to as I've since misplaced the paperwork.
I knew I should have walked out when he said "I'm required to add the insurance for at least one month. After the month is up you can cancel if you'd like." to which he back peddled to "Well it's not required but I strongly suggest it." when I asked "It's REQUIRED that I do this?".
All of this is happening while two other employees are sitting listening to us work with the guy. At no point did either of them speak up with "That's not correct." during any of the process.
I strongly advise you avoid this store or any store that uses underhanded sales techniques like this.
Not enjoying the phone I didn't...
