If I could give this location a negative rating, I would. Not because of the pizza but because of the rude, incompetent staff who make the dining experience unbearable.
Visit #1: The first time was mediocre. The pizza was good. My biggest complaint was the salad bar was not well maintained. It looked sloppy and picked over, and many containers were empty. This is in spite of there being two female employees standing by the salad bar. When I asked one of the employees standing behind the salad bar for a high chair, she looked at me, pointed, and said, "they're over there" and walked away. "Over there" is behind the counter. It seems odd that IPC is okay allowing customers behind the counter.
Visit #2: This was on a Friday night and was incredibly busy. The staff made it evident that they do not know how to handle large crowds. Again, the salad bar was a mess. People were rearranging the dining tables, and there were more people there than seats available. So many people were standing around with nowhere to sit and it made it extremely uncomfortable, as several were hovering over/around our table. We left quickly.
IF THE DINING ROOM IS AT CAPACITY, STOP ALLOWING PEOPLE IN IT.
Visit #3: I went in yesterday, 7/9, with my partner and ten month old son to have the Sunday Lunch Buffet. It was around 12:45.
Upon arrival, it was busy, as we expected. There was, however, nowhere to sit. There were a couple people in front of us waiting to pay, and they had others holding tables for them. As we did not want to sit outside with our infant son (in 100 degree weather) or pay and then stand awkwardly (there is no seating for those waiting) and wait indefinitely for seating to open up, we decided to leave and go somewhere else. As we were waiting in the parking lot to leave, we saw a couple families exit the building. Hoping that meant there was seating open we decided to go back in and try again. There was one open table. A family was in front of us waiting to pay and, as they and my family were waiting, a couple who had been eating outside came and sat at the open table. Again, we were going to leave, but a family finished eating and left, leaving a table open again.
As it is open seating with no hostess, I sat down and waited for my partner to pay so we could eat. The busboy came and cleared the plates of the family who had just left. My partner heard the family in front of him complain to the cashier about me sitting there, as there was now no seating available (except outside). The busboy then came back and told me I had to leave.
There was no solution offered, I was not told I could sit outside, or instead order a pizza as the lunch buffet was full, I was told I had to leave.
We did and we will not be returning. There is no hostess seating people, it is open seating. If there is a rule prohibiting holding tables, why was I the only one asked to leave? We had seen multiple people doing it the first time we went in and none of them were told to leave or move.
I do not understand why this location has so many problems.
The three times we have been at this location the staff has been ill equipped to handle busy times, has been rude and inconsiderate, and generally appear incapable of doing their job.
This location needs more training or will continue to lose business. Until today, we were loyal repeat customers to all locations. We have never had bad experiences in Meridian, Boise, Kuna or Caldwell. All three visits to Nampa have been horrible experiences and yesterday is the last visit to any IPC location.
If IPC policy is okay with its employees asking me to leave and treating my family like we are inferior, I will not be coming back.
Train your employees. It is hard to support local business when there is a consistent display of horrible customer service and...

Yesterday we were headed back home from the range, and were trying to locate a little sleazers in the area- to no avail, we came up empty. We noticed the sign for Idaho Pizza Company, and decided to try it out.
The Good: The young staff were all very polite, and eager to answer any questions I had. I ordered a "Sawtooth"- and I was NOT disappointed. We took the pizza to go, and took it home- 10 minutes later it was still piping hot. It was easily one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Infact, the young woman working the front gave me a free soda while I was waiting for my pizza, and even corrected the pizza order (light sauce vs regular sauce) after I forgot to ask for it.
The Bad: I understand the restaurant might not be what some people are looking for. It does not have the newest and most comfortable tables and seating, it is not the most spacious, and it can be a tad bit loud. Guess what!? Unless you are a "everyone gets a trophy" Californian, none of that should matter. The pizza is what counts.
In short.. the staff was polite and went the extra mile, and the pizza was out of this world. I cannot wait to go back.

Read moreDuring the evening of 12/23/2016, when we 1st arrived...I wanted to know the cost of adding a trip to the salad bar to our pizza order. I kept trying to ask the question to the person who was supposed to be taking our order. They were more focused on someone or something in the dining area then they were on helping us. I had to repeat my question several times, not a huge deal, mostly just annoying. I wasn't able to finish my salad and asked for a small container to take it home. (A different person was at the counter this time) We were informed at this time, (should've been informed of this when I originally asked about the salad bar) the salad bar is an all you can eat, so we weren't allowed to have a container for any of it...even though I had only went through 1 time. The person I was with was very irritated by this, went back up to the counter & asked the person who originally took our order. They gave us a small cardboard pizza box, so I was able to take my salad home in it. I truly appreciated them doing that for me. I have been to Idaho Pizza on many occasions & have NEVER experienced customer service like this. They've always been right on & made us feel welcome...this time was just different. The pizza is ALWAYS great. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the lack of customer service during this one time. Like I said before, they're...
