I had not been in months and was looking forward to the yummy food. When you are paying (menu price avg $17.99) the expectation is set for something a bit more. Our service was excellent as their team approach to wait staff is top notch. Then the sadness started with needing a straw to drink from my broken plastic coke cup, then receiving my (bland 😳 smothered in cheese) food, on a plate that was stained and had a huge (man thumb size) chip. I did mention it to the waiter who offered to replate (we've all seen that tiktok-no thanks). I felt sad that the owner/ manager walked over to eyeball our table but didn't say a friendly hello or acknowledge what her staff had obviously brought to her attention. I did not want a discount or refund and tipped 20%... it was just completely disheartening. I've enjoyed Chapala in other states and locations and know this wasn't the norm. Fair warning don't plan on even having a normal conversation at this once favoured place...The vacuuming makes that impossible. One friendly man even vacuumed under our table as 2 adults were trying to finish our meal- it was just so disappointing. If you go, my companion had Pork Carnitas that were yummy. Try for yourself, I just hope you have a...
Read moreThe food was below average. We went Sunday for dinner highly recommended by a friend. We got a taco salad and molcajete . The service was basic, we were seated, we got our drinks and our order taken. We were never asked how was our food or offered a refill on our drinks. The taco salad came with the wrong meat and was flavorless. We attempted to get the waitress attention however we were ignored. The molcajete was so salty it tasted as if they had poured a entire bottle of season all salt in it. The rice was extremely dry. However the chips were good. Tortillas tasted like preservatives. Our experience here was not good overall. In summary I paid over $13 for the molcajete I would have valued it at $9 not for quality for quantity even then it was unpleasant and I didn't finish my meal. Same could have been said about the taco Salad. Every time we would try to get service we were ignored. Hope this review helps future customers and we hope that the service and food...
Read moreBeen here several times. Decided to try something new and got fajita and mas..description read ur favorite fajita and 1 one of 3 choices plus rice and beans. The fajita the brought me was shrimp and veggies, not on skillet and the veggies were brocolli, carrots, and bell peppers. When I questioned they said this was the fajita Mas it's not same as a regular fajita. I'm not one to cause a fuss so I just ate the shrimp and rest of the meal. It was good just disappointed I didn't get what the description was. When I went to check out our bill was just over $50 but they did something and end up draining my bank account over $200. Lucky I was paying attention and caught it. The manager was very apologetic and voided it but the funds didn't return for a few hours which then made it to where we couldn't do anything else for Valentines day. All that being said I have been to this restaurant many times and this has never happened before so I still gave...
