OK, but not great. We’ve been burned a couple of times now with expired tasting guacamole. I understand it’s hard to keep on top of these highly perishable items, but I know other Beto stores are able to do it. Also, last time I had Carne Asada fries they were cooked waaaaaay too long in the fryer, plus the guacamole being rancid really ruined it. This is normally a food of the gods, but not that day. With the fries, we were already too far away to go back. When dining in they exchanged our really good chimichanga with rotten guacamole on top of it with something else.
Oh, also their enchilada sauce is not very good and taste like it’s been in a warmer all day. Customer service is pretty decent and they’re willing to work with you and make it right if you’re close by. One more thing that’s annoying is this is one of the Betos that pressures you to tip with a receipt, and you have to write zero on the tip line… but I usually do tip a little bit just because. This is annoying because I want to tip based on good food, but you don’t know it’s good until after you paid for it. Other Betos don’t do this… and ironically, I have zero complaints with their food quality. I hope the employees taste the food every now and then, because that would help them know if it needs to be thrown out. I’d much rather them tell me that they’re simply out of something like guacamole, rather than serving it. Also, they should take flaw off the menu if they don’t...
Read moreI have to say if you're going during the day its usually really good food and haven't had any slip ups, I recommend the fish tacos, churros, the carne asada chimichanga its packed full of beefy goodness and the horchata is amazing. But there is a reason why I gave this place 3 stars, I do not recommend going here after 5pm, the food quality in comparison with the day shift, is literally day and night. We ordered my favourite as stated above, the fish was soggy and burnt, the carne asada was like rubber and completely flavorless and the horchata was on the weak side. I dont know if its there night crew or what but they need to step up there game. The past 3 orders after 5pm have been absolutely horrendous and to put icing on the cake we have went out at least 2 times to find it closed before 11pm when its clearly stated that they are open weekdays till midnight and weekends till 2 am. I recommend them only when the sun is up. Oh and the churros tasted like my chimichanga the first night and the second night it tasted like the fish, isn't there like a rule to frying things in the same oil...
Read moreWOW. My husband has been going to various Los Beto's restaurants for years, and he always gets some sort of burrito, which he loves. I think he goes into a food coma after eating one because he just cannot stop eating until it is all gone. He recommends the fish tacos, too. I just tried this place over the Labor Day weekend. There was not a soul inside, so there was no wait. Husband got the Idaho Burrito, which has french fries. Looked great, but as I have celiac disease, I couldn't have it. I tried the carne asada tacos. I was super impressed with the portion size. I could have ordered 2, but ordered 3 and was up there with my husband, knowing I was full, but unable to stop eating. Meat was seasoned to perfection. My tacos came with guacamole and fresh pico de gallo, though I cannot remember if the pico had jalapenos. I got some of the spicy, creamy looking green sauce to go on top, with fresh limes. Delicious. Wash it down with a Mexican coke from the bottle made with real sugar and hot damn! Cannot wait until we are in the area again. Customer service...
