We went yesterday for the first time, walked in at 8:30. There were people at 2 other tables. We waited at least 3 minutes before someone acknowledged us. There were 11 of us. The girl who seated us put the menus on a table too small for our group and walked off to clean a table as we stood there not knowing what to do. She than told us to sit wherever. So we grabbed the menus, pushed 2 tables together and seated ourselves. We than ordered 2 drinks and water for everyone. Took over 10 minutes to get the waters and the 2 blended drinks were full of ice chunks. We waited another 15 minutes before someone finally came to take our order. We ordered 3 pizzas. Took about 25 minutes to get them. The waitress told us one was really soggy and they were already re-making it. To tell the truth they were all soggy even the one they remade. The crust was super puffy and thick, but the middle of the pizza couldn't be any thinner and I think that's why it was so soggy. The toppings were great, but the actually pizza was soggy and the service was not good. Due to there being 11 of us (6 were kids) the gratitude was included on our bill and definitely not earned. My dad tried joking with a couple employees and they just starred at him. Nobody looked happy working there and they seemed annoyed that we arrived 1hr before closing. Due to them taking so long to take our order (45 minutes) we didn't even leave until after the closing time. We looked at the menu before going and already knew which pizzas we were ordered, so we were ready to order. And all of the games were out of order. Overall we were...
Read moreGot take out from here last night, and my wife and I still feel sick. It is the worst take out we've ever gotten, but that's just the start. For beginners, Smokey Mountain is now charging US, the CUSTOMERS, for take out containers. Unbelievable. We're supporting their business, and they're changing us. Secondly, we each got a side Caesar salad, which they charge $5.50 for. What we got was spoiled, wilted lettuce that equaled about half a cup, and they put RAW red onions in it. Who the heck would put raw red onions in a Caesar salad? The dressing had so much salt in it that we had pressure in our faces for 24 hours. The rest of the 'meal', if you can call it that, was more or equally disgusting. Shrimp Linguine. Almost $19. It had 7 small shrimp in it, no oil, bland, disgusting. My wife got chicken teriyaki. She couldn't even finish it because it was so bad.
I asked the bartender who arranged the order if the food always looked like this, and he arrogantly answered "Yeah." I can't believe this excuse for a restaurant is still open, and I swear I will never give this business a penny of my money ever again. If anyone in my life had ever listened to me, I implore you to not give your hard earned money to this scam that's called food. I know Idaho can't be accused of knowing what good food is, but even this is well below par for anything ever...
Read moreI'm going to try to keep my review about this visit only, HOWEVER, let me start with the problem today has been an ongoing issue. First of all when I walk up to the counter only to be told "they just took the last table" in a restaurant that DOESN'T utilize any of its outdoor seating or an entire back room, that is ridiculous!!! Then how is it the last 5 times yes 5 at least (I'm being generous it's been more) the go to answer for why have drinks yet, food or why hasn't anyone been to our table in half an hour is " we're short staffed", solution: actually have managers who work! Fire your useless staff that can't be bothered to actually check and see if seats are available. As a hostess isn't one of her jobs actually knowing what's going on? Finally, if your being open is contingent on who shows up to work maybe just do everyone a favor and as soon as customers walk in, be honest...tell them their experience will likely be crummy, your food will take forever, we won't do it right and your dishes, silverware AND drinkware will be disgustingly filthy. We weren't too large of a party and the place wasn't extremely packed but the hostess was RUDE and inconsiderate. No manager in sight. Not a new experience for us but we TRIED to give them the benefit of the doubt, a mistake we won't make again. Way to go smoky mountain you lost 13...
