Went to this place with my girlfriend for a nice dinner hoping for good sushi when we went in the place it was pretty packed but that didn’t bother us we were told we can sit where ever we like once we picked a place to sit down we got are menu's right away the same can’t be said for are drinks thought my girlfriend got her water 5 minutes after sitting down I asked for a soda and it did not come out with the water after that we got are orders ready we gave it to the waitress and after 20 minutes of waiting the waitress came back to tell me that they ran out of the soda I wanted I wasn’t mad at her for telling me so late just disappointed she didn’t tell me once she brought out my girlfriends drink I asked for another drink then that’s when she brought out my drink during the 30 maybe 40 minutes of waiting the lady told us that she had lost are orders and then gave us another pice of paper to write are orders on this is when i started to get frustrated all thought I was frustrated I did not show any anger towards the staff because I understand that things could happen when it is a little busy even thought the restaurant wasn’t as busy as when we walked in we were one of three groups left we gave her are orders and we waited another 25 minutes and not once did the waitress come to check on us or even ask if we wanted refills she showed more interest in the older and bigger groups then we finally got are sushi don’t get me wrong it tasted amazing the same can’t be said for how it was prepared it looked pretty rushed which i can understand but still pretty disappointed still did not get a refill I even asked for one and she said she would get to it not once did I get my drink refilled we finished eating are check came out she told us she would put a discount on it because of the wait it came out to 59 dollars for 5 rolls I know sushi can be pretty pricey but even I knew that was a bit outrageous I asked her for a recipe and she said why and I told her we only got one plate of sushi and five rolls and she looked confused on what I was trying to tell her and then waitress said “oh” then started clicking around on the tablet then are total came out to 39 dollars even with the “discount” she even had the audacity to ask for a tip which i understand is okay but after everything that happened to us i was pretty frustrated and i still never got my receipt, i understand that us teenagers are young and don’t seem to care but i still want to be treated the same and have the same level of importance as any other customer i am very disappointed and mad with the service of this place i am at a lost for words on how terrible the service was this place was awful I don’t usually write reviews but this place was so bad and awful that it needed to be said if you think about coming here maybe just get it carried out overall absolutely awful...
Read moreIOU Sushi was one of the most horrible experience with a sushi restaurant we've ever had. The staff and waitress did not care about us at all. There was no greeting when we walked into the the establishment. The waitress kep looking at me with an attitude on her face and had no mask nor did the other staff there. they spent most of the time talking to each other about personal life stories instead of focusing on their customers. they even served people who came after us before us and the other couple had to remind them that we were here before them. The waitress then tried to take orders to another party that came after us again before I started to stand up then she turned to me and said oh you ready? Any time I asked for something she looked at me like I was requesting her to do something completely out of her abilities. At one point I had to go up to the counter to get extra chopsticks I requested for my children. She didn't even bring my children plates to eat on and I had to specifically ask her if she could ease get some for them because they didn't have anything to eat on. Everyone who was there was Caucasian and was served with respect. Me being Asian seemed to be of some bother to her. My wife is Caucasian as well and she kept looking at her in disgust. The sushi chef so one of there friends and spent 20 minutes talking to them while another chef put our order on top of the glass that held the sushi and just stared out into space while it sat there Cooling. I eared my throat and he looked around and punt it back down. Then proceeded to talk to the other staff member's friend. Needless to say we will never be going back there again. The food looked like it had been left out for days. I wouldn't be surprised if my family got food poisoning. Being a chef who owned his own restaurant, I would close down the business due to unsanitary conditions. Their bathrooms smelled like a it hadn't been cleaned in ages and there was dust everywhere. The menus had food pieces stuck to them and there was a greasy film on their dining tables...i don't think I need to go on any further to prove my point. Hope you all have a better experience than...
Read moreMy son and I just left this establishment, and I made a point to post a review right away. Small place, seat yourself - no problem. The lady who came to the table was timid to the point of being incomprehensible, took our drink orders and eventually our food orders: we both had to repeat what we wanted, point to the items on the menu, and hope for the best. His order - chicken katsu with rice, salad, and a California roll- was served to me, and looked okay, but I waited around ten more minutes for my own food - teriyaki rice plate with chicken and shrimp and tempura vegetables. I had heard a lady at the table behind ours asking where her tempura vegetables were, pointing to the menu, and waiting while the mute server seemed to go ask someone behind the scenes about this missing part of the meal. The upshot is that the menu is not truthful: you do not, in fact, get tempura vegetables with your meal. Why is the menu untrue? Good question. The food we did have was bland, virtuously taste-free, and two small ramekins of two sauces (one sweet, one a kind of spicy beige mayonaise) did little to make eating enjoyable. The "sushi" was plain white rice rolled around some bland filling. Our server never returned, and we forced ourselves to eat all we could just because we were paying for it. I have never given zero tip, until today, and though I know the lousy food and other issues were not her fault I just was left beyond disappointed. How this place manages to get good reviews periodically is beyond me, but if you're not a gambler - I would stear clear. Oh yeah, when we paid the bill it was wrong! I had to ask the actually- verbal lady who brought the card reader to correct the bill. Two entrees, one soda, and a glass of water and they could not even get that right. From beginning to end, a...
