Service was very friendly . The chips were almost stale. My chimichanga was so dry and the outer tortilla was so hard to cut through with just a fork, which is all I was given, that I quit after about 3 bites. There was no sauce that came with it no guacamole and the inside was mostly rice and some beans and some chicken. I kept searching the inside to see if there was any cheese or flavor and I finally found a small portion right in the middle of the chimichanga as I was searching. I told the waitress that I did not like it and she offered to bring me some extra sauce to put on top. That's beside the point. So I left with my tortilla chimichanga and told her I was going to try to doctor it at home . I was very disappointed to have paid 1265 for that dish and a drink. I will say that the rice was tasty and I opted not to have beans on the side because she told me there would be beans inside the chimichanga. I had been so hungry for a good Mexican food and as I searched Google for a place to eat in Nampa their reviews were really good and it was busy when I went in so it was quite a...
Read moreGood street tacos with scratch made tortillas, two per taco. Their menu had plenty of other interesting things to try. I'll be returning.
Today, I was craving street tacos. With many different flavors of meat offered I was excited to try them all as they are cooked by the owners - usually the day/night prior and even the chicken is succulent, flavorful without added seasonings. One of the types of meat was Chiva / Goat, which was very well prepared and yummy. I like the availability of four sauces to choose from, as well as a green tomatillo salsa, a green avocado based salsa , red salsa, and a spicy red salsa. I can pick the perfect salsa to complement the perfect meat choice in my taco. The wait staff was prompt and efficient. The customers ranged from labor workers to CEOs to singer/songwriters, scientists and everything in between and they were all kind - even the ones I could see had a not-fun day before they arrived at this joy in a very small restaurant. Everyone was...
Read moreMy family and I love this place. It’s probably my personal favorite place to eat in the entire treasure valley. I rave about this place to everyone I know. My brother and I make it a habit to eat here every time he visits. You cannot beat the value here. They have amazing food, even better than other Tacos El Ray locations. I haven’t had a single bad experience there and I’ve been going back there routinely for the past 5 years at least. I love getting the Tacos Al Pastor! Seriously my personal favorite. The chips and salsa are next level too. I don’t know anywhere that serves better salsa. If I could only go to one restaurant for the rest of my life it would be this one. The place always feels lively and the staff are always so genuinely kind. That’s all I can say for now because I’m making my stomach rumble and my...
