To whom this may concern: So I'm not one to complain about places being busy and lacking employees and what not since I work customer service too. But being a first time customer at this restaurant it was really horrible customer service and they ended up getting all our orders wrong and trying to charge us for stuff we didnt order as well as expected us to give them a gratitude fee after all of it. So for the story we went as a family for my niece graduation we had 10 people. As we patiently waited since we knew there was one person working the floor we talking among ourselves and were reminiscing on old times. As time went by we seen other people show up and get seated and drinks served. So we still patiently waited which eventually after an 1hr and a half we were finally were able to be seated down. And to tell you they weren't busy for the size of the restraunt since there was only 10 to 12 more people there besides us. So we all sat down and everyone around us were getting served drinks and food and I really felt like we were getting ignored by the waitress especially since there was no apology for the long wait and it took her another 25 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. After we told her what we wanted to drink all the other people that came when we were still waiting to be seated left and we were left there by ourselves patiently still waiting to get our drinks and food. So another 30 mins passes by and we finally get our drinks which she couldn't even remember who ordered what. So now it was our food order we all ordered our food and waited another 1hr to get our food. Which she ended messing up all our orders and couldn't remember who ordered what and at this time we were all hungry and so we just ended up eating because we didnt know how long it would be to get a new ordered in. So after we ate with wrong orders we were ready to pay. The Lady never apologized about getting our orders wrong or it took forever to get our drinks or being seated. So we didn't know they charged a gratitude fee which is a tip and we kindly told her we were thinking it was right for us to pay that gratitude fee since the service was bad and it took us over an 1hr and half to be seated and it took another 1hr to get our food which was wrong too. So she got mad and got her manager/owner and told us that we needed to pay the fee but we explained to her the situation and she said OK you no pay you are not welcomed back. Which is fine but the customer service was poop and the food was wrong in the first place. So the owner should of accepted the lost of getting our order wrong and not charge us for the things we never ordered in the first place due to the waitress not remembering what we ordered and not able to read her own hand writing. I will never come to this place again and I hope the owner gets more staff and become a better manager/owner because there was noooo customer service at all from no one there. Hope this gets to the write person. And who ever reads this have a great day and hope I can help you out too from our...
Read moreSo I have driven past this little establishment dozens of times. I never thought twice about going here due to the lack lust exterior, but let me tell you! I learned a lesson today on not judging a book by its cover. The host/waiter greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. The decor was not spectacular but was decent. Now for what we all look forward to the food. I can tell you the tantalizing smells of what we were about to receive I was not prepared for. First we ordered 2 Thai teas I had no clue what they were. I never thought tea could be so good! It had a well rounded pallet of bold tea yet sweet, and balanced by the cream that it is topped off with. It was exciting from visual aesthetics to taste and mouth feel. We ordered an appetizer of the Krung Thai Dumplings a blend of meat Shrimp and mushroom with a sweet sauce on the side for spooning or dipping, and some soy sauce to balance it all out. If you like steamed dumplings, you will want to try them! We ordered from the lunch menu we had the red chicken curry lunch combo that came with sushi, and also ordered the garlic delight with beef. You get your choice of chicken, pork, or beef with these. They did not disappoint! At first glance the garlic beef delight looked like it would be a bit boring it is served over lettuce also it included a potsticker with a beautiful ginger sauce, and some rice. Every bite was a flavorfull delight the name says it all. The curry was amazing! Now I'm not a fan of melt your face off spicy and this was not that. It was a wonderful blend of spices creamy coconut flavor with just enough heat for your taste buds to wake up and dance on your tongue! The balance of the flavors in each dish was impeccable and impressive to say the least. To say I was not anticipating enjoying myself here would be an understatement. I was very wrong and hope you decide to visit them as well. Thank you, and hopefully this helps someone else that may be on the fence due to location or exterior as I was, for you never know it could just be a diamond in the rough. I will absolutely be...
Read moreI loved this place! We've recently moved here from Washington, and I've been craving Thai food, and found this place. I saw all l the reviews and I have to agree, Krung Thai is a great hole in the wall!! We came in around 4pm and were the only ones there, which worried us but decided to still stay. The Asian lady that greeted us was friendly and approchable. The place was...odd, but to be honest, once she came out with the salads, bombs could have been going off and I wouldn't have noticed! My hubby usually hates the ginger dressing but thiers was a mix of peanut and ginger and had some heat to it, and he said he could have just had that for his meal and be happy! As for me I wanted to lick my plate, never was I so sad to see a salad finished. As for the rest I had the pad Thai chicken heat lv 2 (wonderfully thick and moist and full of flavor, though noodles were a little over done,I didn't mind but hubby like his more firm. Also I think I'll go up a heat lv, cuz it was a little too sweet, but that might be cuz I kept eating my hubby's curry!!) and my hubby had the red curry chicken heat lv 2 ( perfect! Theirs had fresh green beans and he fell in love with them. I thought the bell peppers needed a minute or two more of cooking but that just me and the eggplant was perfectly cooked.) Both our meats(chicken) ended up being tender and not dry, which considering how thinly sliced they are can be a challenge for some. Oh I also ordered the California roll, which was done well, everything looked and smelled fresh. Next time I'll actually get some sushi sushi( I like to check a place out before I order anything raw. Kinda my rule of thumb lol.) Overall, we loved them and will be coming back. It's kinda sad that they seem to not have much business, even taking into account the time we got there, the place looked abandoned!! We almost drove right by until I saw the sign that said open!! So make sure you double check, and come in for some amazing Thai food!! Oh yeah and all that with our drinks was $37 plus a tip, not bad. But that might be because I'd have...
