I am utterly disgusted with the service I received here at this First Watch. My husband and I have been going to First Watches all around the country and have had AMAZING experiences at most of them. This morning, we ordered from this first watch since it’s new and close to our house. First, they completely messed up my order. Part of it was missing and they added ingredients to my eggs that I didn’t ask for. When we tried to call them to fix the issue, they did not answer the phone for an HOUR. Our Door dasher was kind enough to go BACK to the store to try and remedy the situation and get our food and the store claimed that they didn’t believe her and then asked us to call them again. For which, they didn’t answer nor did they give us a number.
At this point, I’m requesting a refund from DoorDash but it’s sad because DD didn’t do anything wrong. FW did and chose not to fix the situation.
I do NOT recommend eating at this place because they clearly do not care how they treat their customers. Which then makes me wonder about the food as well.
UPDATE: I finally was able to get them on the phone after 90 minutes. I spoke with the manager and kindly shared my experience. He said he was disappointed in his team and will speak to them, which I appreciated. He then said that he would refund our total order (which was also very nice) and give us gift cards to our home. So after that, I feel very pleased. We’ve been fans of FW for years and I hated that this had to happen because we’ve always had great service from them, however we’ve also mainly been to other places - since this one is new. I am hoping this team learns that customer service is of the upmost importance so as to prevent situations like this. Thank you to the manager for caring about the situation. I changed my review from...

The decor is super cute. With the juice bar options and transparent nutrition facts, I had really high hopes for this place, especially since Buttermilk's wait is always ridiculous.
The first time I went, I got the market skillet hash and coffee. The food was beautifully plated but there was no "real" cream for the coffee; they only had those horrible plastic containers of fake cream on the table. This is one of my pet peeves in a breakfast restaurant. But they brought milk for me as a cream substitute.
Unfortunately my beautiful meal was wayyyyy salty, so when I went the 2nd time, I told them to make it low salt or even no salt on my order and I could season it myself.
That's when I found out: the vegetables are all preseasoned. What does this mean you ask? It means it is prepped earlier and nothing can be adjusted....which I would argue is not really made to order, they are more "assembling" your ingredients at the time of order. The server came back and said the kale, carrots, and tomatoes and peppers are not preseasoned so I could do an omelette with that but I wasn't crazy and about a carrot and kale omelet. Apparently the other veggies are not available or they are unwilling or unable to cook from scratch. Big disappointment but on the positive side, they did have half and half this time for the coffee!
I ended up getting a piece of toast and a cup of coffee which totalled $6.
My friend got the biscuits and gravy and she said it was very salty (and this does not used preseasoned veggies!) so it's not just me. Her exact words were "they have a very heavy hand w the salt."
Service was nice both times.
If you like salty food you will...
Read morePositives: very fresh, quality ingredients. Attractive surroundings. Large but not too loud due to divided sections.
Negatives: no gluten-free menu and very few gf options. When asked if they had gluten free pancakes, the waitress responded "we only have gluten free toast.". She clearly didn't understand which foods are naturally gf and I did end up finding two a'cai bowls marked as gf that she didn't even know about. It feels very unfriendly towards anyone who eats gf, vegetarian or vegan. It's one of the ONLY breakfast restaurants in the area that does not offer gf pancakes.
I ended up ordering an omelette, which came with a salad instead of potatoes. That's the default, so if you don't say anything, that's what you get. My husband did order a platter that came with potatoes, and not only are they lacking in seasoning, several pieces were uncooked in the middle!
At first they forgot my gf today, so quickly took replaced it. Compared to the delicious looking healthy, grainy, thick regular toast, I was given a cold, hard, tasteless gf toast.
There were plenty of available tables, but we were made to feel rushed to vacate our table. We were clearly not done eating, but we're asked if they could clear the table about for times before we were actually ready.
You pay on your way out, and the mature male we encountered lacked any customary pleasantries, such as "thank you," or "have a nice day," and also didn't smile or make eye contact.
Since it's s fairly new restaurant, maybe they need time to iron out the kinks, but I would not look forward...
