Ordered two deep dish pizzas for pick up (one was The Lou with sausage added and the other was the hot honey pizza). Arrived to the restaurant 3 minutes past my order ready time and called to ask them to bring it out to me as it was for curbside and they said they’d be out in a few minutes.
After 15 minutes of waiting, I had to go inside (which was empty) to get the pizzas while the staff was standing around talking and my order was sitting there untouched.
Upon returning home, both pizzas were insanely soggy. Soggy to the point where the box was soaked through the bottom and if you tried to pick up the pizza, it immediately ripped apart. It was as if someone took a hose to this thing, not even kidding. And it was for both pizzas! We’ve never had this experience before.
I called the location and spoke with Monica, who was very kind at first. She refunded the order and had two new pizzas delivered to us. An hour and a half later, we get our pizzas delivered and it’s the same exact issue. Both pizzas are soggy through the box. The delivery guy couldn’t even hold the boxes, they were so wet.
I gave the restaurant another call and asked for Monica because I would assume that as a manager of an establishment, you’d want to know if this is what your restaurant was delivering to your customers. I waited about 10 minutes for her to get to the phone and when she answered, I thanked her for taking the time to attempt to right this wrong. However, the pizzas were still extremely soggy (if not more soggy than last time). She then just proceeds to not even answer me and is just sitting on the other line. I had to ask if she was still on the line about two to three times and she would just answer with “uh huh” and says “and so what would you like for me to do?” It’s a strange question to ask when someone is sharing their experience with your establishment where there was a clear miss. TWICE.
Ultimately, I was told this was my fault for adding sausage to the Lou pizza and it creates moisture. However, I’ve ordered this in the past without this issue. That also doesn’t explain the sogginess of the other pizza I ordered and, strangely, they can’t explain the reasoning for that one.
The location is just not worth it. There are SO many other Lou Malnati locations to go to who care about the quality of their food. Make the drive and go to Oakbrook Terrace. They are superior to...

Read moreMediocre food, served by disinterested, painfully slow staff. Went for a quick dinner on a Monday night. Restaurant was barely 1/3rd full at 5:15pm. Got sat in the backroom and waited 10 minutes for a server. Another 10 minutes to get water, and and an additional 10 minutes to get our order taken. We ordered right away - thin crust pizza and a salad. Looked at the menu and saw that it said pizzas took about 30 minutes. 55 Minutes later, finally able to track down our server who went to every table but our two top. We actually witnessed him make eye contact with us and then put down the dirty plates and pizza pan on another table to continue a story with another customer for an additional 7-8 minutes. When he finally left the table, we had to call out to get him to come address our concern which he stated "I just checked a minute ago, but I'll go back to the back". After boxing up pizzas for two other tables, he went back to the back and came out with our pizza, which was warm, not hot. He then proceeded to tell us "Our Pizzas take 45 minutes or so, a little longer if there are a lot of take out orders." We were surprised that he said this when 1) The restaurant wasn't even 1/2 full, and 2) That it said 30 minutes on the menu. No apology for the wait, just continued indifference until we asked for the check.
Pizza was overly cooked, dry, and flavorless. They had plenty of staff but not a single server makes eye contact with you or even checks in on you in a mostly empty dining room.
A pretty sad experience. Would definitely recommend choosing Gia Mia or Giordano's over this place next time your in Naperville. You'll get a much better pizza and a lot...
