I am normally not a person to complain, but this experience was so bad and had upset me so much that I had to file a complaint. I am a regular at Chipotle restaurants and in the 15 plus years I have been going to them, I have NEVER had an experience like this. There were three staff members that I noticed working at the time. A Caucasian man working the line, an African American man and a young Caucasian lady. I walked in to order a burrito after a long day of work, as I am entering two individuals left the line and left the restaurant. I wasn’t sure why, but I proceeded to get in to the line. In front of me a couple was trying to order and had issues with their online order so they had to come in to the store. The Caucasian man working the line proceeded to take their order and tell them that they are out of everything except carnitas and the vegetarian item. Right there, I was irritated being that it was nowhere near 10P, so they should have had some items on the line or they should have cooked some more for any other guests that may come in before 10P......I mean those are the hours, right!? So, I hold my tongue and think, "Whatever, I'll just get the carnitas". The couple in front of me continues to explain to the Caucasian man their issue. He responded with several explanations and excuses as to why they had the issue. Then as he was taking their order, the young Caucasian woman said that they were also out of chips as well. So now myself, as well as the guests in front of me become irritated with the fact that during operational hours, this restaurant was out of pretty much EVERYTHING relevant to the Chipotle restaurant and making burritos. UNACCEPTIABLE, especially with 40 minutes to go before close. When I worked in food service, we had to be able to service our guests until close and THEN, after closing time came, we would close the restaurant. I understand that staff members want to try to get as much as possible done before close, so they can close up and leave quickly, but there is still an obligation to meet your customer’s orders! With this type of thinking, if Chipotle was open only until 9P, then everything would start getting shut down by 8P…….and you can see how this is a bad pattern! I, along with the guests in front of me, voiced my lack of satisfaction to the Caucasian man and explained what I said above. He proceeded to tell me that it would be wasteful to cook more food before close because it would be thrown out if not used and would cost money……I’m not a person to waste either, but seriously!? First, how is that my problem? I am just a customer trying to order from a restaurant that serves food until 10P. Second, there was a lot of time left before close, so there should have been some items left for the line. I am not asking this guy to cook 50 LBS of steak and chicken, I was simply stating that there should have been some prepared to last through the end of the night. I proceeded to tell him that his answers were excuses. He didn’t like that truthful fact, so he told me that he wouldn’t be able to serve me and that I had to leave. As you can imagine, I was extremely upset about this treatment. If that gentleman was a manager, he needs to be fired in my opinion, absolutely not the way to run a restaurant or treat guests. If that individual is not a manager, he should still be let go. That is not the type of person I would want to represent my company or brand. I sincerely hope that Chipotle will remedy this situation for me after the way I...
Read moreProbably one of the worst Chipotles I have ever been to. It pains me to write this review of the disappointing experience I consistently encounter at one particular Chipotle branch. Despite my initial excitement and anticipation, my visits to this establishment have consistently fallen short of expectations due to its poor customer service, early closures, and frequent ingredient shortages.
Let's start with the most glaring issue: the consistently poor customer service. From the moment I walk through the doors, I am met with indifference and apathy from the staff. It seems as though they are simply going through the motions, lacking any genuine enthusiasm or care for the customers they serve. Requests for extra toppings or modifications to orders are often met with sighs or eye rolls, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere that detracts from the dining experience.
Furthermore, the posted closing time seems to hold no significance to the management and staff of this Chipotle location. On multiple occasions, I have arrived well before the advertised closing time only to find the doors locked and the lights turned off. This disregard for their own operating hours is not only frustrating but also disrespectful to customers who have made the effort to visit the establishment within the designated timeframe.
To compound matters, the lack of effort to restock ingredients regularly leads to frequent shortages. It is not uncommon to hear excuses like "we're out of guacamole" or "sorry, we've run out of steak" during peak hours, leaving customers with limited options for their meals. This lack of foresight and preparation reflects poorly on the management and raises questions about their commitment to providing a quality dining experience.
In conclusion, my experiences at this Chipotle location have been consistently marred by subpar customer service, early closures, and ingredient shortages. While I appreciate the convenience and affordability that Chipotle typically offers, I cannot overlook the numerous shortcomings of this particular establishment. Until significant improvements are made in terms of staffing, management, and overall operational efficiency, I cannot in good conscience recommend this Chipotle location to...
Read moreI ordered 4 burrito bowls, including one carnitas bowl. The person who I ordered the carnitas bowl for asked if chipotle sold fish and if that’s what I ordered for them; of course I said no and tried the meat. It tasted like tuna - absolutely disgusting, considering it is pork. When I called the next day, I asked to speak with a manager regarding this. The woman stayed on the phone, so I assume she was the manager. She was rude to me and stated “no one else complained about it last night,” insinuating I must have been lying...I was calling so they could resolve the issue in an appropriate manner, especially considering chipotle seems to have food-quality issues from time to time and this could be a potential food standard issue. I do not like leaving bad reviews, however, between the quality of food and quality of service, I was extremely disappointed and felt the need to express my concerns. It should not matter that no one else complained about tuna-tasting carnitas if I received a bowl that tasted like tuna to the 4 people in the group. A sincere apology should have been issued, at the very least. Maybe if I had expressed the illness the carnitas bowl seemed to have caused the next day, someone would have cared. Low quality food and service at...
