Went here for the first and last time yesterday. Wish I had taken a picture of the menu to explain this better. This is supposed to be a BBQ place. Arrived to find not single person there and that should have been the clue to leave. Instead we went in. The waitress was friendly and seated us immediately. When given the menu I realized there are no dinner plates available here? I have travelled all over and this is the first BBQ place I have been to that does not offer dinner plates. Everyone knows that its southern tradition for a BBQ place to have dinner plates (meat and 3). This place you can only order a la carte. The meat either comes as a sandwich for $15 with nothing with it or you buy it by the pound at a half pound for $15 with nothing with it. First off I would never eat a half a pound of meat let alone a whole pound. Secondly all BBQ come with sides (hence a dinner plate or as we say a meat and 3). Plus it is always served with some sort of bread. Not here, if you want bread you can order a bun for $2? Really? Also the mac and cheese has pepperoni in it? Seriously? I thought this was a BBQ place? A real BBQ place only has pasta, cheese, milk, an egg and salt and pepper in it. How do I know? I'm from TN and I have had REAL BBQ from a REAL BBQ restaurant numerous times and this is not a REAL BBQ place. This is some kind of weird twisted wanna be BBQ joint that tries to cater to upscale clientele. So if you want REAL BBQ do yourself a favor and skip this place, even Rib City or Mission BBQ...
Read moreI tried this place about a month ago. I know good BBQ as I have lived in or frequently visited areas of the country that have some of the best BBQ, such as Memphis, Kansas City and St. Louis, MO, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and the Carolinas.
This was perhaps the worst BBQ I've ever eaten. It was terrible! I am convinced that the other great reviews on here are from people that have no idea what good BBQ is, as I imagine most of the patrons are either from South Florida which has no BBQ culture at all, or snowbirds/transplants from other areas of the country that don't have a clue what good BBQ is. When you haven't had good BBQ before, you don't know what to measure it against.
Service was fine, and staff was reasonably friendly. We were the only patrons in the restaurant on a Thursday evening. The owner came over to the table to see if we were enjoying our meal and I didn't have the heart to tell her how bad the food was. She noticed that I'd barely eaten any of my food and she begged me to tell her if I didn't like it. I just didn't have the heart to tell her. I had the sampler that had ribs, brisket and I believe wings. Combined for 3 people the bill was $100. Absurdly expensive for what you receive. The Mac and cheese was terrible. The only good thing was the french fries.
If you want BBQ, go somewhere that is known for it like Memphis or Kansas City. If you decide to eat here, you will be wasting your money and you will still be hungry afterward....
Read moreWow wow wow!! What an incredible dinner! The staff was so friendly and excellent. They knew the menu, described each menu item in such detail, and recommended exactly what each person had a taste for. Drinks were very unique and tasty. I ordered three different kinds and was very impressed. I ordered the garden gimlet, smoky margarita, and some kind of lavender martini. All different but all amazing. Garden Gimlet was my favorite. Had two of those. Lavender martini was my dessert drink.
When the appetizers came to the table we knew were in for an amazing dinner. We had the bacon wrapped dates. The best thing I have ever had. The seafood dip was delicious. Everything on the menu looked good. We were a party of 12 so we were able to try a lot of options. Everyone loved everything. The soup was a huge hit. When everyone’s dinner plates came our eyes almost popped out of our sockets and our mouths dropped. Plates were bountiful, and well designed. The most popular options of our group was the catch of the day, steak, and tuna. All were delicious!!!
We were all stuffed but couldn’t say no to the dessert options they offered. We ordered the Beignets and bourbon cake. Happy we ordered dessert.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in Naples. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Can’t wait to bring more family and...
