My wife and I went to this Yard House location to watch the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 and asked to be seated with a view of the game. About 20 minutes after being seated, before the first quarter ended, the server changed the channel to Thursday Night Football. I asked if another table had requested the football game, and when she said yes I asked if we could move to a different table to continue watching the basketball game. I wasn't trying to be rude to other guests or their experience.
The manager had to be called in order for us to have our table moved, and when we did she was polite and helpful. The new table had a TV we had to crane our necks for, but again we were just trying to relax and enjoy the game that was on the entire time this was happening. The manager said there was a TV slightly behind us at the bar we could always watch from the other side of the booth.
Not 10 freaking minutes later the manager came over and said she was going to change the other tv to football. We said we only wanted to watch the basketball game from our table when we first walked in, and at this point we were just over it. I told her it was fine, that we would be closing our check and leaving. She would not leave our table. She had to be told several times before she finally left. After we paid our check on the kiosk, our server came over and asked if we wanted her to get the same manager. SHE wouldn't take no and refused to leave us alone after being told several times.
Tl;Dr- Long story short, we're at Miller's Ale House off Pine Ridge. Better service. Better prices. Better social distancing. And we can watch the NBA playoffs.
By the way, the NFL game JUST had its opening kickoff as I finished this review....
Read moreWent here last night for dinner and decided to sit at the bar. There were 3 bartenders, one had long dark hair, one had blondish hair and one was a tall guy with dark hair who I think was new. We were greeted promptly initially but the service was terrible from then on out. The bartender with the blondish hair seemed to be working the other side of the bar and she was the only person who helped us with anything. The girl with dark long hair was talking to some girl the entire time (who I’m pretty sure also worked there) and didn’t even acknowledge us. We got our food order in finally by the new guy and we asked for some modifications and extra sauces. When we received our food we didn’t have the sauces or modifications correct. We waited for awhile and no one came over so we ate the food without them. The lady working the other side of the bar did come over finally to ask if we were okay and we got the additional items from her. She was great, but the young girl with the dark hair wasn’t doing anything but talking to her friend and the service was non-existent from her. Next time we’ll sit on the other side of the bar. Also wanted to note it was around 9:45 when we dined and there was a cleaning lady throwing buckets of sanitizer on the floor that stunk like bleach. Not something we want to smell when we go out for dinner. The website stated you close at midnight so I’m not sure why this cleaning started so early in the night when the bar still had people at it. I work in the industry and it’s frustrating that every time we go out we can’t get...
Read moreWarning: you can't taste a picture. Buyer beware!! Let me start by saying I've been a meat cutter, a cook and seven years a server at numerous places in Naples from Mom n Pop Pizza to Nose Bleed Country Club. The website wasn't working, I couldn't order online. We were close, so I came in to order lunch to go. I ordered Korean Ribeye and the woman hears "three ribeye" because they had the music so loud in the foyer she couldn't hear me. I got my bill and it's two too many Ribeyes. She had to get the manager to void the transaction. I ripped the so-called manager a new eyeball and asked him how his staff was supposed to do their jobs if they can't hear the customer. He just looked at me as if I had two heads and proceeded to tuck tail and run to the kitchen. Then we had received our food and got home...the salad was bagged on top of hot food...mmm Caesar sludge! The ribeye was cooked okay but it was really fatty. Ribeye is supposed to be marbled, not foie gras. The fish and chips... Is absolutely nothing special... except for the surprise bones. Pancake battered boney swai. The french fries smell like the fry oil is old. The pretzel... The pretzel itself was actually decent..most frozen soft pretzels do. The beer cheese was disgusting.... a packet of powdered cheese and a Natty Ice. This whole experience has been disappointing. I thought I was going to fall in love with a new place that have my fav pretzels. I'd rather dumpster dive at outback. I suppose this place is ok for people without standards...
