I have been patronizing the Bedford location since I moved to New Hampshire. I always get the same sandwich and it is consistent. The worst thing I can say is a couple times they forgot to cut the bagel, but even that is not really a valid complaint.
On my way home today driving north, I looked at the time and put "Bagel Cafe" in my GPS to see if I could make it to Bedford before they closed at 3. Imagine my delight when I saw there was a Nashua location and I didn't need to fear missing on my typically delicious, consistent sandwich.
Disclaimer: I don't even eat bagels. But I eat this bagel.
The location is open and clean. The cashier was nice. However, when I got my sandwich? What a mess! I was genuinely shocked when I opened it in my car, so I went back inside to ask about the protein measurement for this sandwich. Because it looked nothing like the sandwich I've purchased from the Bedford location for almost 8 years. Even the two workers at the front saw my perspective. It was basically a tomato sandwich which is not at all what I ordered. Some man then came from the back to see and then the person who made it came around the corner speaking in another language with a tone that indicated annoyance and debate. The first guy took the sandwich to the back where I assumed they would just add protein. When my sandwich was brought back to me, the second one was even worse! They had remade it (again not sure why as that is a waste of food and they could have added protein to the original) and it was sloppily, almost comically thrown together in a manner that clearly displayed passive aggressive. I asked the first man "was this remade" because it was so much worse than the first sandwich and the second guy came around the corner with the first sandwich to show me.
At this point I took the sandwich and told them I will just make sure I only go to the Bedford (and Manchester) location from now on. I didn't want to keep on this and if the Bedford store would have been open, I would have driven there, ordered another and then shown them the one from Nashua and ask "do you feel this is a fair representation of your product?" Instead, I pulled into the gas station next door and chucked that horrific sandwich into the pump side trash can.
I will never go to this location again. When the follow up to a place doesn't measure up, what a...
Read moreOur favorite place to frequent, the customer service above all has been so memorable. Hailey, with her light-beaming energy, greets us as soon as we enter the building; already knowing our coffee and matcha order she prepares our cups before even arriving at the register…We love that. Fast, easy, straight-to-the-point menu and ordering and honestly with great human interaction, as typically, we exchange quick, but meaningful compliments in between ordering. When Hailey is not there, Jess is typically there to give fantastic and quick service, also remembering our order. The French toast bagel with sausage egg and cheese (or bacon) and BLT with an onion bagel (add egg) have been our go-to’s. We will stray from the path on occasion but always go back to those. Typically, my husband and I will drive home and eat on our back deck and enjoy the moment with our breakfast, discussing the great experience we just had - although only about 5 minutes long from the moment we arrive to exiting - it’s one of the top highlights of our morning. Even after the drive home and settling in, the cheese is still melted, sandwiches hot and steamy. Mouth-watering deliciousness with every bite. Truthfully we have been here so many times in the last few months and forget to take photos every time, we also started bringing friends and clients there to share the local yummy wealth and they LOOOVE IT. Attached are what I did remember...

Long review: I ordered a sausage and egg sandwich on an everything bagel. Everything bagels are the most direct test for a bagel shop. It's so easy to screw up the flavors of an everything bagel. And Simit nailed it. It was a perfect everything bagel. The sandwich as a whole was delicious. A sausage patty between two fried eggs. Nothing tasted cheap or gross.
I also ordered a French toast bagel "as is," uncut and untoasted. It tasted delicious, but it was so chewy that my jaw still hurt a couple hours later. Getting it toasted I think will be the solution there.
I didn't try the coffee, but they have a robust espresso machine and Peet's coffee, so that brand is a known quantity if that matters to you. The seating is spacious and utilitarian. There's xfinity wifi. And while it's in the Aldi plaza, it's set aside so it definitely feels like its own place.
All told, if I want a delicious breakfast sandwich while I'm in the area, this will be my first choice. I'll definitely be back to sample more...
