HORRIBLE!!! ATTENTION: PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT TO DO YOURSELF & YOUR FAMILY A FAVOR! ...I bet the loud and noisy kitchen staff or the inattentive counter staff at Bonchon (Korean Fried Chicken) in Nashua, NH thought we would know little if anything about Korean cuisine, but oh, we do. The half spicy and half soy garlic fried chicken seemed to have been pre-cooked and somehow reheated for our order, due to its crust, not being just extra crispy but very greasy and overly thick, with the chicken inside being dry. It was also excessively salty. Not a combination we were anticipating, for what was supposed to be according to ephemera hanging on their walls, their signature item and 'gold standard' for fried Korean chicken in the US. I would say if that was so, Americans are in very dire straights, indeed. I literally felt ill after I ate the few pieces (6) of overcooked fried chicken, at nearly $10.00. We also ordered another supposedly well-known and vetted Korean cuisine dish called Japchae. It was by far the absolute worst dish of the three dishes we ordered, costing over $15.00. The cellophane noodles were simply drenched in grease and the entire dish, with marinated rib-eye, was a medley of grease and more grease. How anyone could pass this monstrosity of a dish off for authentic Korean food or even quality Asian fast food, is well beyond us to understand. It was just God-awful and such that I wouldn't even feed to my dog. And we thought we were safe ordering the House Fried Rice for another cool $15.00, with our total order coming to over $45.00, with a single fountain drink. The fried rice was ordered with Korean Bulgogi beef and it too, was of course, drenched in soy sauce and grease as well and whose flavors were erased by it. It was our first visit to Bonchon Nashua and we were going to write a more lengthy review for the food publication we are involved with but quite frankly, the food is undeserving of a more lengthy review. Anyone even remotely familiar with authentic Korean cuisine would be rightly affronted and taken aback by just how ghastly and simply dreadful, not one, not two but all three of the dishes we ordered were and all for a whopping nearly $50.00. If you love your family, value your money and want to put something other than greasy slop into your mouth, masquerading somehow as Korean cuisine, keep on driving right by Bonchon Nashua. You were warned. Of course, you could blow $50.00 of your own money and find out for...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible. What stood out the most was how attentive and patient they were in helping me select the ideal meal. They didn’t rush me, instead taking the time to explain each option in detail so I could really understand what I was choosing. The fact that they were bilingual made the experience even smoother and more comfortable, allowing me to get into specifics and feel confident with my decision.
Their professionalism was matched with genuine friendliness. You could tell they cared about making sure everything was just right, and that made the atmosphere warm and inviting. It’s rare to find a place where you feel both valued as a customer and appreciated as a person, but that’s exactly what I experienced here.
I left fully satisfied—not only with the food but also with the level of service I received. I can confidently say I’ll be coming back, and next time I plan to bring more friends and colleagues to share the experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for quality service and...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst chicken I have ever tasted! Was excited to finally try this place, only to be met with serious buyers remorse. Place was not clean, and almost every table dirty. My first red flag, was it was empty at lunch time. I ordered the 8 piece boneless chicken in Korean bbq sauce. Seasoned fries for 2 and Coleslaw. What I got was a pathetic very small dried up rocks, drizzled in a tiny bit of sauce. I sawed a piece of chicken in half, only to discover that it's NOT real 100 percent chicken. It's a filler chicken and obviously frozen. So dry and hard, I was afraid of breaking my teeth. The fries are a small portion NOT sharable. Fries were the only good thing. My Coleslaw was old and stale.
My boyfriend ordered the bone in wings. They also were dry and the smallest wings I have ever seen! Frozen also. We will never be back. Absolutely worst place I have eaten in awhile. 7 eleven would have been better and cheaper! Do yourself a favor and save the amount of money they charge, and go to a REAL restaurant for good fresh Korean chicken. Couldn't post pics, no option.
