We went today to check out this new pizza place since it is my favorite food and I could eat it daily! It is cozy inside, clean, modern and simple with the focal point being the huge wood fire pizza oven that they cook your pizza in. We were welcomed by the staff right away and they explained the process, menu and let us know we could build our own custom pizza too. We ordered two from the menu, the Hot Pep and the Sunny Side. The Hot Pep is: Shredded Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Hot Honey Drizzle, Our Spicy Red Sauce, Grated Parm and the Sunny Side is: EVOO Base, Shredded Mozzarella, Bacon, 2 Fresh Cracked Eggs, Grated Parm. The were both very good, I loved the honey drizzle on the Hot Pep it made the pizza perfect. All the ingredients are fresh and the pizza is made right in front of you. My other favorite part was the pizza crust, it was crisp but chewy and cooked perfectly in my opinion.the entire process was easy, fast and convenient. Read moreVERY IMPRESSED!!!!!! Self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur here and I must say that these guys are one of the top in the area when it comes to the characteristics of a proper pizza. Let me break this down, my taste test started with a variety of three pizzas. All of them scored very highly when it comes to the three basic foundations of a good pizza. Sauce, cheese and crust. Let’s start with the sauce, not too thin and not too thick along with being not over seasoned but not too bland. The taste balance was perfect along with texture.The cheese blend was amazing providing more than just the mozzarella taste. Now the crust, my favorite part… When you pick up a piece it has great hold along with a perfect blend of chewiness and crispiness at the same time. Since restaurant tax is supposed to be 8.5% of the value of the items ordered, I was floored to see such a high number(should be $1.87 on a $22.00 subtotal) and decided to explore how it could so high. I observed that the $6.99 deliver charge(expensive, but the value of that service is in the eyes of the beholder) was ALSO being taxed AND there was a $.99 "service charge." It's unclear what that service charge was all about, but then of course, a tip is almost always expected no matter what. I was not about to shell out over 150% of the value of what I wanted to order and decided against placing the order. Taxing the delivery charge and adding a service charge is very sneaky and I don't care to do business with any practitioner of that business behavior.
