Really what you pay for here is the experience of a fireplace and wifi. Though, the fireplace is blocked by 2 tables, so there isn't much to enjoy. The food is over priced. They have ordering kiosks right in front of registers, which makes zero sense. Cashiers have people using the kiosk WHILE they are also taking orders and it just give people no personal space. There were no pagers available. Kiosk does not make service faster. Lines don't start at the door and work inward. The lines start inward, so you have to cut in front of people to get in line. Makes zero sense. Pickup orders are in the back of the store which also, makes zero sense. Again, you have to cut through the line to pickup an order. Food portions are small. During our visit, after a night rush, no one came around to clean tables, pick up full barrels, plates, bowls, or silverware. Silverware visibly dirty.
Another note, ordered a drink through kiosk and asked /PAID/ for extra caramel drizzle and was given extra caramel flavor "syrup" instead. There is a huge difference between a drizzle topping and a drink syrup. I corrected the employee and instead of remaking my drink, she just topped the drink off with caramel drizzle on the top. Meanwhile, my drink tasted like straight flavor, and not in a good way. For the price, I expect things to be made correctly as the kiosk is clear on "syrup" and "drizzle". More training is needed to fix...
Read moreWay overpriced. And brain-dead when it comes to real nutrition. We drove home with our take-out and discovered their chili was loaded with "edemame" (the name rolled off the Panera manager's lips when we called in to complain) and corn. Edemame is soy. Even animals are given, at the very least, ROASTED soy which removes the toxins. Soy is meant to be roasted or fermented - such as traditional tofu. But nope, their "edemame", is not roasted. You know what another name for this is? Filler. Cheap filler And is anyone else sick of vinegar-dressing, vinegar-dressing, vinegar-dressing. I've been telling my family for half a dozen years, "I don't get the Panera 'thing'". And after tonight's soy and corn-loaded chili (barf!) and a Cobb Salad that came with yet more vinegar dressing (cheap cheap cheap), that is it for me. Here's another thing. Do not expect your take-out orders to ever be correct. I think we're down about $50 bucks over the last few orders by the pan-heads in my family, just because the pan-head-employees just can't seem to get the orders right. Over it. So...
Read moreI never wrote reviews but this Panera is so bad I figured I should take the time out of my day to warn others. Firstly, the cashier gave us no personal space and explained step by step how to use the new ordering kiosk. They would not give us the controls and I felt really awkward asking as she insisted. I don't understand the point of this as it just made the lines longer than they should've been. Secondly, I always order a Toasted Tuscan grilled chicken sandwich at Panera. It comes with basil mayo but I always like extra. On two occasions I have asked for more basil mayo and what do I get? A tiny cup filled 1/6th of the way. I had to ask for more and yet again the same result. The next time I went I asked for 6 basil mayos because the amount of extra that they give you in the cups is ridiculous. The sheer waste of plastic alone warranted a bad review. Thirdly, the sandwich which usually comes with a large portion of arugula had about 4 little tiny leaves. It was extraordinarily disappointing along with everything else at this panera. 1 star would not...
