Balin Books — Local services in Nashua

I try to come by every time I visit home! While the bookstore is sadly not as large as it used to be when it was on the other side of Lorden's, the selection is well-curated and I always find something interesting to buy. I love that they have a used book section full of inexpensive buys if my budget is a little tighter. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and can help with recommendations if needed.

There are chairs here and there for the customer who can't resist plopping down and thumbing through a book before purchasing. As someone else mentioned in there review, the shop has a nice homey feel.

This has been a reliable book store for soo long. My problem with it is really only the woman who works the register. A very close minded individual. She wears how many books she has under her belt on her chest (metaphorically). But if you ever have questions about anything you can ask her because she and only she has all the answers. The man who works there is very nice and accommodating. Tall about a kind person. This place hasn't had like 3 authors I was looking for. And hasn't had more than one copy from my favorite author. Really needed a book for a friend’s birthday, the man working is such a great guy, great vibe from him and the place. So many interesting book choices, if you would like to learn words in different languages, this store got it all. Amazing location, great selection of inventory, great vibes. In all, would come back every time I need a book. Would love to see this place thrive and thrive.
