615 deli — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

After having recently eaten at 615 Deli for the first time, I must say I'm a pretty big fan. The folx behind the counter are quite friendly and fairly quick getting the food hustled out... especially considering the employee:customer ratio as there were sadly only two fellas behind the counter (that I could see) and it was line-out-the-door SLAMMED in there. While on the topic of foot traffic, it's worth noting that it was quite busy and bustling the entire time my friend and I were at lunch (~60-75 mins) with their outdoor seating area (3-5 smaller tables) filled to the brim with what seemed to be a crew of happy customers. So when it comes to being popular, there's no question, and for GOOD reason (a.k.a. the food is delicious!). Now, on the other side of that same topic (and the last point I'll make) we have the impact and effect that 615 Deli's high foot traffic has on its ambiance, which, to sum it with a word... cRoWdEd! That is, of course, applicable only should you choose to dine in and the menu is certainly grab-and-go or delivery friendly! And, again, this was my first and only time having experienced this lovely place, but it certainly won't be the last! 5...

I've tried several restaurants in Nashville, and honestly have been quite happy with all of them. That being said, this place is far and above the best of them. There was nothing about any of our meals that could be complained about, and my picky taste buds tried them all.

I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Burger, which you can rest assured has no beef. Now, don't get angry with me, but this was my first experience with Nashville hot chicken (I get heartburn). Let me tell you that it was some of the most tender chicken I have ever tasted, and the pickles and coleslaw complement it perfectly. I would have this again next time, if I wasn't set in my way of trying something new every time.

Now my wife and son are a bit pickier than I am, so they both had the grilled cheese, my wife's with added turkey. The three cheeses mixed for the perfect flavor combination, and while I am typically a puritan when it comes to grilled cheeses, the juicy turkey mixed perfectly to create a flavor that might even rival the original.
