Betty's Grill — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

You know what kind of place Betty’s is. Betty’s is the predatory kind of Nashville spot that will advertise as a venue, have musicians come play, AND THEN NOT PAY THEM FOR PLAYING.

We played Betty’s and were specifically told “no cover charge” also there are signs everywhere that state there is a 2 drink minimum when bands are playing. Yet when we inquired about that percentage we were told we only make money from the door and tips…..so can you riddle me why we were told not to have a cover at the door and also why there is a 2 drink minimum while bands are playing if those sales aren’t going to the bands? I mean Hell as someone who was in a band I even Had to pay $3 for a water……

Needless to say this is just another predatory venue in a predatory city that takes advantage of artists/musicians and doesn’t pay them. If I were you, I wouldn't recommend supporting places that are toxic to musicians. Find somewhere else to go.

Also Betty’s, do every musicians a favor if you don’t intend to pay them...

This is one of the few true dive bars left in Nashville. They get 5 stars because it executes perfectly on that old cheap bar straight from the 80's vibe. Tinsel and a sad little disco ball stays in the corner for the karaoke. The old TV's might have sports they might be off. Order the wings and listen to them sizzle in the oil as they drop them in straight from the Costco bag and then served with ranch right from a Kroger squeeze bottle. Burgers on a flat top with Beer so ice cold it'll hurt your teeth. The crowd, well there probably isn't one but they are old timers who come in every Saturday like clockwork. It's the epitome of a small hometown bar and I hope they never change. That said they do now accept credit cards...

Saw a Chris Davis show here and surprisingly, to me, it was my first time ever here. The place was clean, reasonably priced, and easy to find parking. The bartender was friendly and efficient, but I think he cooks the food also so he can be away from the counter for extended periods. Also, this spot is beer/cider only, not sure about wine, definitely no hard liquor. Non-smoking with a side porch for smokers. Decent dive bar with wings and burgers. The restrooms were...
