Review:
I recently had the pleasure of dining, an exceptional Iranian restaurant located in the heart of Cityville. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere, which beautifully blended traditional Persian decor with modern elegance.
The menu offered a diverse array of Iranian dishes, and I was eager to try as many as possible. To start, I ordered the Kashk-e Bademjan, a delicious eggplant dip that was perfectly seasoned and served with warm, fresh-baked bread. The flavors were rich and authentic, setting a high bar for the rest of the meal.
For the main course, I opted for the Chelo Kebab, a classic Iranian dish featuring succulent grilled meat served over saffron rice. The kebab was tender and juicy, bursting with flavors that were both complex and harmonious. The accompanying rice was fragrant and fluffy, a perfect complement to the kebab.
My dining companion chose the Fesenjan, a traditional stew made with chicken, pomegranate, and walnuts. The balance of sweet and savory flavors was exquisite, and the dish was hearty without being overly heavy. It was clear that each ingredient was chosen with care and prepared with expertise.
No meal at an Iranian restaurant would be complete without dessert, and we decided to try the Baklava and Persian Ice Cream. The baklava was delightfully crisp and not overly sweet, while the Persian Ice Cream, infused with saffron and rosewater, was a refreshing and unique treat.
The service at Persian Delights was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, eager to explain the dishes and make recommendations. They ensured that our dining experience was flawless from start to finish.
Overall, Persian Delights exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of authentic cuisine, elegant ambiance, and exceptional service makes it a standout dining destination in Cityville. Whether you are a fan of Iranian food or looking to try something new, I highly recommend a visit to Persian Delights.

Read moreEating here was such a disappointing experience.
It took over 15-20 minutes for someone to give us a menu. My table was then left unattended for another 20 minutes (pretty sure it was longer). While we waited, multiple new customers had walked into the restaurant. They received their menus and their orders were placed in a timely manner. When my waiter finally came back around, I began placing my order and he said, “Oh, you’re just going to jump right in, huh? Okay,” in such a condescending tone—which I don’t understand where that even came from since I hadn’t said anything to warrant that sort of response. It took another 15 minutes for someone to bring us our drinks after placing our order. By that point, the table across from us who had gotten there later than us was already eating their food, and so was the table behind us. When the customers in the booth in front of us were finished eating and getting up to leave, they pushed the entire booth back causing my sister to be pushed into our dining table. I saw two employees watch this happen, and neither came over to help or said anything. This was only fixed after another customer and their family came in and they needed a place to sit. Then, the waiter comes around bringing out the second serving of food to the table across from us with him, and we’re still waiting. We were literally the last to be served. I don’t care to wait for food, and I love trying new things, but I really don’t understand what happened here.
Lastly, I always tip nicely. I was only going to leave a $5 dollar tip this time since our waiter wasn’t even attending us and I was so disheartened by how we were treated, but the waiter just stood there staring at the screen to make sure that I tipped. I really don't understand if I did something to offend him or if I came across a certain way, but I felt super out of place after everything that had happened. I went ahead and tipped more than I wanted to, but for the record no, he actually didn’t deserve the amount I tipped—I’m just not confrontational.
For the amount of reviews you guys have and how high your rating is, I really don’t understand what happened or if someone was having a bad day, but I hope you...
Read moreI’ve always been a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, especially Turkish food, so I was excited to give this place a try. The “Kurdish” mention in the name caught my attention too, though I couldn’t quite tell which dishes were specifically Kurdish—would’ve been great if they highlighted that on the menu.
With such stellar online ratings, we had high expectations when we visited for a weekend lunch during our last trip to Nashville. The place was packed, buzzing with energy, and filled with the smoky aroma of sizzling kebabs. Luckily, we were seated right away—no wait, which was a win!
We started with two appetizers. One was a rich, red-hued, nutty, tomato-based dip, served with standard pita—decent, but nothing remarkable. However, the fresh lavash straight from the oven? Absolutely divine. It came with butter and feta, and it was easily one of the highlights. The second appetizer was a meat pie, shaped like a boat and topped with lamb pepperoni-style slices. Even though I’m not a huge lamb fan, this dish was incredible.
For drinks, some at our table loved their ayran (a traditional yogurt drink), while I opted for Turkish coffee, which came with a small piece of candy—a nice touch!
Moving on to the main course, most of the kebabs were lamb-based, with very few beef or chicken options. Actually I didn’t find any beef! As someone who doesn’t love lamb, I had to settle with chicken wings, while a friend tried the Cornish chicken. The wings were underwhelming, but the Cornish chicken was much better. Meanwhile, my other friends were obsessed with their lamb kebabs and pita. One standout dish was a stew served in a clay pot—absolutely phenomenal.
To wrap things up, we ordered baklava and knafeh, but unfortunately, both were just okay—not the grand finale we...
