Used to be you could come in here at opening each day and everything would be made fresh. As of a few weeks ago, now all you will find are congealed and gummy leftovers from the previous day.
Even in the best of times the desserts here were always freezer burned and the sushi rarely fresh, but you used to be able to count on hot dishes made fresh. Now even the rice is recycled from yesterday.
It seems the place has come under new management, or otherwise the owners have decided to try to increase their margins by cutting corners. In addition to the stark decrease in freshness, menu items are being changed out rapidly and the traditional horseradish wasabi has been replaced with a neon green artificial liquid.
Whoever started calling the shots recently, they do not understand food service. You spend thousands on installing new unnecessary booth lights that wreck the ambiance, and then try to save a couple bucks by serving unfresh food? Someone's priorities are backwards.
Someone needs to tell them: whatever money they hope to save by compromising quality, they're going to lose 10 time more from customers not returning. Just raise your prices and maintain the quality.
Pains me to stop supporting an old local business and the staff who have worked there for years, but when the management becomes cheap and careless this is what happens.

At the hibachi station, you pick all the ingredients you want, then hand it to the chef to cook up. It was quite tasty and probably my favorite part of the whole place.
The main buffet items are all very solid. Almost all the items are very oily and fried, but there is still a wide variety to choose from.
The sushi isn’t half bad for a buffet. Definitely better than some terrible sushi I’ve had at sushi restaurants in the past, but also nowhere near that of legit restaurants.
Their dessert selection is decent. Cakes, puddings, Chinese donuts, breads, fried plantains, jello, fruits, and ice cream. You can’t mess up desserts unless you try really hard, so these are good.
Service was fine. Friendly staff that refilled drinks, but they did want for you to tip and sign, which is a bit weird.
Overall, I was very satisfied with this buffet. Is it somewhere I would come again? Yes. Is it going to be my choice over other non-buffet restaurants? Most likely not. This place is great when you are ravenous and needing an unlimited supply of a giant variety of decent food. When I am craving a lot of Chinese food in the future, I will probably...
Read moreWe were going on a road trip with our group of 6 and had a HORRIBLE experience. For starters, the outside of the buffet is in an extremely sketchy place with a bunch of scary looking people just roaming around outside. On the inside, it was ok but the food was another story. I ordered some noodles from the hibachi, but when it came it was BURNT! I just went along with it and got a plate of food. I got some sushi, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour chicken which were all horrible! The fish on the salmon sushi was falling apart, and smelled. The sesame chicken tasted pretty good, but the sauce was thick and stretchy. The sweet and sour chicken was no different story from the rest of the food and was cold and stale. At this point I was disappointed enough, so I got some ice cream to calm me down. When I was scooping the ice cream, it was as hard as a rock. I thought nothing of it, but the ice cream was like it was left open in the freezer for 3 months, and had chunks of ice in it and had a horrible sour taste. All of this crap was $20 per person and in my opinion should have been $5. DON’T COME HERE UNLESS YOU LOVE PAYING A STUPID AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR FOOD THAT WAS LIKE IT CAME STRAIGHT OUT...
