My husband & I traveled to Nashville from Murfreesboro for an event today. Afterward, we decided to come to Jack’s BBQ on Trinity Lane since it had been last year some time. We had our two young children with us while we dined in.
At first look, all tables in the dining area were dirty but the children were hungry. My husband ordered the turkey plate and inquired about what meat the turnip greens had in them because we don’t eat pork. The young lady (black lady) portioning the sides said they had turkey meat & the meat cutter (tall stocky black man with a do rag) said the turnip greens had turkey meat and the green beans had pork—but they said it with loudness, attitude and unpleasantness. I ordered the jumbo turkey sandwich plate and the same young lady placed my sides in separate side containers. We dined in so it made more sense to place the sides in a platter box with the sandwich. We were given our total at the end of the line by the cashier (white man w/ short brown hair). Then our order was piled up with several containers to carry to our table. Mind you we had two young children with us. I asked for a tray so we could carry our order, while the cashier was already trying to collect payment for the order behind us.
My husband asked the cashier for a towel to wipe the table because all the tables were dirty. He came to wipe the table for us and was just as cordial.
We sat down to eat and the meat cutter and young lady were having a loud conversation involving cursing (using the MF word) numerous times about what hours they’re getting & how they do their jobs. My children could hear the inappropriate language and the other dine customers could too. In addition, the turkey meat was cold on both orders. We asked the cashier about a microwave, but we were told the restaurant didn’t have one. My husband asked the same gentleman for a bag so he could take it home to warm up. I went ahead and ate my sandwich although the meat was cold because my children were hungry.
This is unacceptable service and not worthy at all of the money we paid. A place I would come to frequently during lunch time M-F while working in Nashville will never be visited by myself or my family again. Management needs to do better with the...
Read moreWouldn’t even give one star but that’s not an option Came in to pick up a lunch order at 1:30 today for my grandparents and was told their internet was down, but our order had gone through online. The guy asked the name on the order and pulled up the receipt to start preparing it and read it off to me. When I noticed the receipt showed $27 annd our order today was $32 I told him it wasn’t right. He had pulled up an old receipt from the last time they ate there. Mind you they eat there several times a month. Still he went on fixing the order after I had explained that was wrong so the other lady that was standing there took the receipt from me and was questioning me like I was somehow making all this up when you could visibly see the receipt they had had the wrong date on it. I had called my grandfather to double check what he ordered and while I was on the phone with him she kept asking me what it was I said can you please give me a moment so I can find out she rolled her eyes like I was inconveniencing HER! Even though I was the only person at the counter. This lady was very rude and short with me when it definitely WAS NOT a mistake on my part. Not my fault their internet was down and if that’s the case online ordering should’ve been stopped till it was back up. During this another lady with braids walked over from the other window asking what was going on but offered no help. I tried to explain the plates he prepared were wrong but after dealing with her attitude I wanted no part of her piss poor lack of customer service. She slammed another cup on the counter and said lids are over there very snarkishly and LITERALLY walked away mumbling so I said thank you have a nice day and left. None of the food was right. We have all lived in this area for over 15 years (my grandparents longer) they’ve been eating jacks since they opened here but honestly after today I doubt we will be ordering here again. None of this was our fault, if your internet does not work then you should not be able to order online because the order was...
Read moreOrdered online for curbside delivery while passing through Nashville. I chose it because it was right off the highway and it opened earlier than others and we were going to be passing by right when they opened at 10:30am. I place the order online and before I paid I called them to make sure that they could have it ready when they opened because we still had quite a journey ahead of us and didn’t have time to wait. Even though it was an hour before they opened they answered the phone and said the order would be ready at 1030 when I requested it. Within seconds after pulling up they brought out our order to the car piping hot and extremely tasty. Everything was perfect and the prices very reasonable. The brisket was to die for. The sides were good too but honestly everything paled in comparison to the meat! We were trying to avoid going inside because of the coronavirus but my son had to use the bathroom. I was nervous but immediately impressed with how clean everything was. They required masks and I appreciate their concern for our safety. I like how they have a drive through option too. This place will definitely be our go-to whenever we are in the area. In fact I may make the drive from Atlanta just for a...
