I heard so many great things about this place! I went with a big appetite, high expectations, and contained anticipation. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Granted it was during a weeknight and they weren't too busy. We asked the waitress a few questions regarding the menu items as most were labeled market price. Upon making a decision, we ordered. I eagerly waited as my mouth watered from seeing the succulent images on the menu. Our food finally arrived and to my disappointment, I noticed that the advertised crab stuffed lobster was made with imitation crab. Nowhere on the menu did it say or show this. As I dug past the mountain of artificial crab meat, I noticed some unseasoned shrimp, and the remaining lobster had a bitter aftertaste (as if it was old) with the consistency of calamari. Needless to say, I didn't even check out my friend's dish as I regretted spending $45 on a sub-par dish made with a combination of artificial & old seafood, unseasoned, and drowned in cheese to camouflage the lack of effort and horrible fusion of uncreative cuisine. Mind you, this was eaten on an empty /hungry stomach (when ANYTHING usually taste great). I was better off following my gut and heading to Juicy's Seafood in Hermitage to get a worthwhile meal for my seafood craving. Here is the silver lining: This should've gotten one star, but it's getting two because our...
Read moreI recently went to this restaurant with a rather large party I guess.. it was 10 people, 2 children included. Originally we have called to make reservations and what not to avoid a long wait but when we got tjere we were informed by the hostess that they did not accept reservations... So we waited 40 minutes to be seated only to find out our group was to be split into 2 different tables.. ok, we were hungry and so we just sat down .. service was good. Our waitress, Marisol I believe, was quick and wonderful. Our service was fast and our food was brought out with I'm good time. Drinks were great and there was a live band. When they bill came be noticed that they had changed us a gratuity included.... Even though it was just 3 adults and 1 child a that point.. I've heard of that being applied to parties of 8 or more but they had already made us wait after supposedly holding a table and seperated out hroupour so why still tack that in. I will not be returning. It was much to expensive for what I ordered.. I can get a carne asada anywhere and not be as annoyed. But if your into seafood, just beware the prices and don't have a...
Read moreWhen you think of Mexico you dont really think of seafood. You mostly think of different typical dishes. I've been here couple of times and everytime I leave with a happy smile. They have variety of seafood dishes as well as some very typical. My father's favorite to order are called cucarachas (cockroach) which is shrimp in a hot sauce with tomato and cucumber. Mine is salmon relleno de que con hongos. (Stuffed salmon in cheese sauce and mushrooms). Both are very tasty and creamy. They have options for a bigger size party and some smaller dishes for when you want to enjoy an evening out. Variety of drinks too. Alcoholic and non alcoholic and natural flavoring drinks.
From what I've been told Saturday and Sunday they have mariachi play live in the evenings. Something you might be able to enjoy. They do charge for each song request you have. Nonetheless very fun and entertaining.
Food items are pricey but it is seafood and portion sizes are big. If you don't have a big appetite maybe a plate might be good for 2.
They have happy hour but you'll have to check I'm not 100% sure on what days and...
