This ihop is terrible. It is the worst 'establishment' this side of the Pacific Ocean. The floors are dirty, the tables are sticky, and it smells mustier than my shorts after six pick up games at the outdoor court in the middle of August. I used to work the night shift at this location, so I can't speak on the day shift, but at night the food is poorly prepared. Employees always putting their hands on the food without gloves or even washing their hands, often after having just smoked a cigarette. Don't eat the 'fresh fruit' because it is far from fresh. Same goes for the lemons. The waffles are never cooked all the way through. Many times we ran out of items that we shouldn't be running out of. I once had to tell customers for more than a week that we didn't have marinara sauce all because we didn't have a can opener. What restaurant doesn't have a can opener? And why did it take longer than a week to get one? Also if you come in late on a Sunday, you better not be in the mood for a T-bone steak, because they are most likely out. The galley is always dirty and is not a place where food should be prepared. Oftentimes there is not a cook or the cook has disappeared, which is may explain why the wait time for food is unnecessarily long. On top of that the food usually comes out cold. Not one time while I worked there were the coffee carafes cleaned, they only ever got rinsed out. The dish washing area is often overloaded with dirty dishes, which results in dirty dishes being placed next to clean dishes, clean dishes that later are used to serve food (See pictures). I ate there the other day, and nothing had changed. There were three other tables there when I went and it still took more than 30 minutes to get my food. Steak tips and chicken and waffles. A steak tip meal takes about 10 minutes to make. Chicken and waffles can be made in 5 minutes. Still waited over half an hour. And to no surprise, the food wasn't hot. Plus, 75% percent of the people that work there, on the night shift at least, are under the influence of some mind altering substance. Including alcohol and a variety of other illicit substances. I'm talking bout that booger sugar, smack, and speed. Or they are irritable because they couldn't get their hands on some. Either way, this place is a terrible place all around. Coming here will make you more disappointed than when you finally came to the realization that your dreams will always be just that, dreams. If you ever even think about coming here, just do yourself a favor, forget that you ever even saw this ihop, and go eat anywhere else in the United States. If you're on a road trip and decide to get something to eat off exit 59 on I-24, there's waffle houses about a mile and a half down the road in...
Read moreI was sat down pretty quickly by my waitress. She asked me if I knew what I wanted to drink. I told her and it came pretty quick. I was then asked if I knew what I was going to order. I asked her about the new "pancakes for the season". I asked her if she knew what the filling was on the Carmel pancakes and she said she didn't know, they don't get to taste the stuff but guests have told her it tastes like banana pudding and said it was really popular so I went with that answer. My food came out pretty fast. I tasted the creamy texture between the pancakes and it was pretty good. I told my server she needed to at least taste a finger size so if a customer asked her what it tastes like she'd have an answer. As my plates and empty creamer containers continue to be empty they still sit on my table. I've had 3 other servers, a bus person, AND the Manager, who, by the way looks like crap and I don't know or care how long she's been here today, pants hanging off of her butt, hair a wreck, and coughing into her sleeve after sitting ppl. Didn't even bother to tell them who their server was or even mention that they had seasonal options. Getting back on track, (my dirty dishes are still next to me), I was asked only once if I needed coffee and I said not yet and haven't seen her since. At least no at my table. The GOOD things about this IHOP:
Ok, that's ALL the GOOD.
The BAD things:
I will continue to keep coming back but these issues need to be addressed.
All I can say about this post is this: be very, very grateful that I'm not a SHOPPER...
Read moreNot A Critic Just A Customer! I'm not sure what's going on but there is always disappointment to some degree with this location and it seems no one is seeing but the Customers. I visited on a sunday morning around 9;30 there were a few ppl there but not very many, we we're seated in the the back which we asked to be moved from for a few reasons: 1. Although there was another table in the area, we sat back for to long for customers to be waiting evenbthough the waitress came back there three times she never even acknowledged us nevertheless got our drink oders. It had a weird sour smell A lawsuite waiting to happen because the floor was slippery/greasy. Since no one came to our table we asked to be moved the the opposite side thinking we would get better service, not the case! again we sat and waited for a while before getting our drink order and ppl were waiting at the Hostess desk in just as much disbelief of disappointment as we were sitting and waiting. *Then a group of four came in and right away they noticed things as well, they commented on on how sticky and dirty the floor was and sure enough you could see food crumbs under tables and visible on the floor. *Our order got messed up a couple times. This experience was one of those where you asked yourself if this was really happening. *I was told the men's restroom had a loud urine odor. Like I said in the I've been to the location a few times in hopes that things would have improved but honestly speaking the haven't, I said I wasn't going back until things were better but the atmosphere is lacking direction and...
