Mar & Tierra Mexican Grill and Mariscos — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I tried to resolve this without giving this restaurant a bad review, but they have acted in a manner that leaves me no choice. I ordered food from Mar & Tierra directly on their website, which uses DoorDash. The delivery person from DoorDash did not grab all the food our group ordered, which left out an entree and some guacamole. This amounted to about a quarter of the order. We called the restaurant and they offered to give us the order and additional items to their credit, but the whole reason we ordered delivery was because we could not go to the restaurant. We asked for a refund of the undelivered food, to which they agreed, and then proceeded to charge the FULL amount for items that were never delivered. I cannot recommend a place that promises to make things right, only to charge the full price and argue with your credit card company when you attempt to dispute just the portion that you did...

I recently visited Mar Tierra Mexican Grill and Mariscos, and wow, what a hidden gem off East Trinity Lane! I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla with a side of rice, and it was top tier—bursting with flavor in every bite. The quesadilla was perfectly cooked with a delicious balance of ingredients, and the rice was the perfect complement. This spot may be unassuming, but don’t let that fool you—the food is beyond exceptional. I forgot to snap a photo of my meal because I dove right in, but trust me, it’s worth every bite. Tried this spot with my wife tonight. I had the Chile Verde and she had the Supreme Burrito. Chile Verde was 3/5 because it was warm when it got to the table. The burrito was a solid 0/5. The plate was hot but burrito and its contents were cold. My wife gave me a bite of it and I NEVER spit out my food but just had to into my napkin. Cold shredded chicken that to me, tasted spoiled. I returned it for here and got 3 street tacos. Those were great! Service and atmosphere were good and our server made it right and we appreciated that. However, we won’t be dining here again.
