Being an East Nash resident, I’m thrilled about the coffee movement that’s going on in the last few years and we’re being blessed with some great coffee shops in the area every year. OSA Coffee has been on my list of places to check out for a while and given the great reviews (as of Feb’24), I was excited to give them a try.
We got regular brewed coffee, a shot of espresso, Cortado and iced Latte. Lavender was on their menu but they were out of it (before 10am), so I went with Vanilla. Whoever had coffee that had a shot of espresso, were all complaining about the same thing - it was burnt. And even the ice + milk + syrup in the latte didn’t help cover the burnt flavor of the Coffee and it was more prominent for those who got Cortado and a shot of espresso.
The drip/brewed coffee was so much better than the espresso shot. I’m not sure if they just had an off day or they always serve the coffee that way. If you’re visiting for the first time, the brewed coffee would definitely be a safer option. I didn’t see pour over on their menu, but I didn’t check with their staff to see if they were serving it off the menu.
The staff wasn’t super friendly but it could be because it was raining and the weather wasn’t the best to run a to-go coffee shop.
It’s mainly a takeout coffee place, with a window facing the curb where you can place an order. The ordering area is partially covered but on a rainy day, that can get crowded. There’s plenty of parking in the area, we didn’t have any issues...
Read moreThey have excellent coffee. I always get an Americano and it's perfect every time. They also serve Dozen baked goods, which is a Nashville staple. Here at the Eastside location there's the walk up window which makes it quick and easy to get your drink and go. There is a cute, garage style patio and outdoor tables if you want to enjoy on-site. I did notice that the landlord is going to start charging for parking. I bet this is likely from the new bar next door. It states you can validate at Osa...
Read moreThis is a charming little coffee shop on Gallatin Pike with a great atmosphere. It has a spacious open floor plan, so be aware there's no air conditioning.
We ordered a cappuccino, cortado, and iced americano, and all three were delicious. They roast their own beans on-site, and you can really taste the quality. Ordering is a bit unique - you place your order at a window outside. There's a small menu nearby, but prices aren't listed. Just ask the barista if you...
