Very limited parking and nothing is labeled clearly if it is a spot or not. Our waitress did not want to list the tap beers and acted as if we were annoying her asking what beers were on tap since there is not list. We ordered burgers but our waitress did not even ask how we wanted our burgers cooked. A few minutes after we ordered the power went out. We waited a little bit hoping the power would come back on but it had not. We saw our waitress across the floor update another couple on the power outage situation but she never came to update us on whether or not our food would be cooked or not without power. So we decided to leave, as we were in our car another waitress came out and waved us down saying our food was ready and insisted that we pay for this meal. We went back inside asking for a box to go to pay for the meal and leave. The other waitress said we had to pay in cash since the power was out affected the register. We did not have cash so she insisted we wait for the power to come back on to pay and that we cannot take these burgers without paying. We did not want the burgers since we feared they were under cooked with no power. Overall the service we got today was HORRIBLE. Both waitresses were sassy and did not...
Read moreHow is it possible that there's still a restaurant in Nashville known for great burgers that I have not tried? This one's a keeper. The dive bar burger joints like this never disappoint. The burger was thick and smashed. Bun was firm and not too crumbly. Toppings were fresh and properly proportioned to the meat. The best surprise was how thick and firm the breading was on the onion rings. They were amazing. And yes, I added one to the burger. Tots were exceptional as well. But, back to the burger. It stacks up well to the city's best. It's no Gabby's IMO. But ranks right up there with Fat Mo's. Next time I'll try the mushroom smothered version. Had to start with a pure cheeseburger to set a baseline. I'll be back for more. And maybe, when I am waiting for the meal, I can have another conversation at the bar as interesting as the skunk camping trip story told by a stranger turned friend. You could be so lucky to meet...
Read moreI have come here before, but today I was refused service for being drunk, and I was completely sober. I hadn't had a drop all week. I have a slight limp because of an old injury. My skin is darker than that of the other patrons; I can't prove that had anything to do with it. This bar is in a neighborhood with a large foreign-born population, and I have only seen white people here. Again, I have no idea if the waitress wasn't just having an off day, but her decision to not serve me seemed very quick and arbitrary. I had come to see a friend, so I ordered water and sat with my friend. The waitress was unfriendly to me, and didn't make eye contact with me. Make your own decisions, obviously, but I would advise against coming here if you don't look like the...
