I am being generous with 2 stars. This place needs some corporate retraining.
Pros: most staff are curteous and the store is clean.
Cons: the drive through orders supersede in-store patrons, out of chocolate, time managment and keeping orders staright, baristas either set drinks on the counter without calling a name or say the name quietly.
I went in on a Sunday evening. There were 6-7 people seated waiting for orders and 2 people in line ahead of me,. First red flag was that they were out of chocolate. I ordered something different. I waited patiently as it was busy.
After about 20 minutes, I noticed two young female poc and culture were still waiting for their order, as they were waiting when I first arrived. I asked them if they had checked on their order, yes I know it's nosey but the momma in me wanted to help them. My 1st drink started to come out at this point.
One young lady said they only had 10 minutes left in her lunch break and that they had done a mobile order. She was timid but went and asked the barista about their order. The barista scrolled on the tablet and apologized and started making their drinks.
After she made their drinks she went back to finishing my last drink. Fine right, No! The young ladies were still standing there waiting! I asked if they had gotten all their order. They said no, they still needed their food and they only had 5 mins to get back to work.
I was upset for the young ladies at this point as my last drink was being finished. I had been in the store waiting 30 mins myself, there was no reason for them to still not have their order!
Sorry, I may have seemed a little Karen but Starbucks wasn't even trying to get these young ladies drinks. When the barista brought my last drink I said, "Hey these girls were here way before me. They should already have their order before me and they need to get back to work!"
A female barista, with purple hair, proceeded to tell me they were short handed instead of apologizing to the young ladies. (They probably were shorthanded but there were still 5 workers that I saw.) She started to go over their order telling them Starbucks was out of certain things and then finally proceeded to get the rest of their order.
I know mistakes are easily made but the ball was completely dropped for these young ladies. Good customer service apologizes then gets to work to make it right. It also communicates. Starbucks subbed part of their order then didnt even call their name when they placed it out.
I just feel bad for those young ladies not being able to get attention to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have written extensive complaints to corporate and never received a response back. I don't even know where to start. Every employee I've encountered is rude. They have talked about me loudly with the window open because they had to walk to the back to get soy milk. Another time I ordered a caramel apple spice and with the window open they said my drink was "f*ing gross". They now make you slide your own card in the drive through and rather than it being a simple process the girl insisted on walking through each part of the payment process. Didn't understand why my card didn't have a chip, didn't understand why I didn't have PIN number (it was a credit card), and finally after I just swiped it she looked down and said whatever and rolled her eyes. Every car took forever at the window because of this dumb new policy and how complicated they make it. Just let us swipe our cards. By the time I got to the window (25 minutes later) my drink was totally melted and had been sitting in the window. As a former employee I cannot understand what has happened to this company, specifically this location. They are not pleasant, they gossip about customers within earshot, they use obscenities openly and loudly, they never get my order correct, and they make you feel like you are intruding in their life by being a customer. I have had a terrible experience the past four times I've been there. Corporate doesn't care to respond or acknowledge the extensive issues with the staff at this location. The Starbucks culture is non existent here. I get better coffee and better service at McDonalds. The thing about Starbucks is they are so big at this point they can treat everyone like crap and serve terrible inconsistent drinks and the customers will keep coming. Congratulations Starbucks. You went from being the gold standard in customer service to being Walmart. You...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood is great. Drinks are made well. The girl at the counter in the morning was obviously tired and they were busy. That being said..... I received a lot more attitude than I needed at 8:30 in the morning. I was looking for my food..though I could've asked. I didnt want to interupt their workflow. I located my order, the food marked with my name on it was grouped with maybe 8 other drinks and orders were scattered in the counter. I tried to find my drink assuming it would be next to my food. Instead of being helped, I was barked at by this girl that "this was a delivery order". I told her the situation but she still was very adamant about those drinks being for a delivery. I asked "okay where is my drink? If I have to wait that's fine but lose the attitude". Not very kindly she put my drink in front of me and when I tried to get my food she said it was for the delivery. It wasn't until I pointed out my name was on the bag and all those names were "Brooke". The lightbulb went off. She still wanted to argue even though I had my food and the transaction was now complete. I stormed out and one of the other baristas asked what the issue was and I told her "she has an attitude for no reason". Looking back now she certainly had a reason but it didn't need to be taken out on me. Next time point the names out. You don't need to see the name the...
