Let me be very clear, Aubriana(sp) is the only reason I am giving 3 stars. My family and I moved back to Nashville in March. One of the first things we did was order pizza. After being out in the country, we appreciate the delivery option. The first couple of times we had to go pick it up ourselves due to lack of drivers. The next time, it was delivered by Door dash per Papa Johns, but it was only one of the two pizzas. When i called to get the other pizza, I was told I needed to take it up with Door dash. I paid via Papa John's website logged into our account, paid the $4.50 delivery fee, and left a tip. I had to explain to the manager that I did not outsource DD, they did. Eventually she gave me a refund but we decided to steer clear for awhile. Tonight we reluctantly decided to give my former favorite pizza place another try. The husband prefers Pizza Hut. We completely understood the time it was gonna take due to driver shortages. It surprised me when it showed up in half the time. I only live 4 mins away but still. Immediately I knew we made a mistake. There was only one box. We ordered a stuff crust and some bread sticks. We got a regular pepperoni pizza for a Chris Freeman. My husband's first name is Chris but his last name is obviously not Freeman. Door dash driver said that's all they gave me and took off. I call the store and speak to Aubriana. Who told me that she could offer me a refund, or remake it and try the whole door dash thing again. After hearing my stories of the last few times of being there, she asked me to hold while she asked the manager if she could personally deliver it to us. That is how you keep customers. I didn't have any cash on me to tip her and something tells me she doesn't make enough. She deserves a raise. If we do decide to try it again, it'll only be bc of Aubriana. Sorry If I'm...
Read moreThe employees there might as well had treated me like trash on the side of the road. On a Sunday night, I ordered cheese sticks and wings at 10:30. I noticed the delivery time was 90 minutes so I called the store and the man assured me I could pick it up without an issue instead of having it delivered because of the wait time.
15 mins later, I get to the store and I don't even open my car door before one of the employees tells me with the door to the store open that they are closed. I said, "I just called. I'm picking up my delivery order."
And he said "oh, we threw everything away that was ordered because it is 11."
I looked at him and said "you mean to tell me you threw my order away after I paid for it and you said it was in the oven?" In which he replied yes ma'am.
Meanwhile, they won't even let me get near the door let alone on the sidewalk. I said "well I see you manager just sitting there and watching me. I'd like to speak with her."
He then went inside, spoke with her and came back to say "Your order will be credited to your account."
I replied "No, there's no way. I drove all the way over here just to find my food thrown away?"
He went inside about 6 more times, trying to figure out what to do and talking to the manager at the register sitting WHO IS STILL LOOKING AT ME AND REFUSES TO TALK TO ME DIRECTLY.
He finally came out and said "Yeah they are delivering your order."
I ended up saying that this while fiasco was ridiculous and he waved, said had a nice day and slammed the door in my face.
So not only did I waste time and gas going to get my order, I had to make the drive wait an additional 13 minutes after he got there because I was at the store due to the instruction of the employee.
I will be contacting corporate and refuse to order...
Read moreTo all these broke-a$$ folks complaining about credit card issues, & the amount of time it takes a cancelled order to be refunded to your card. You will have that same issue anywhere you go. If you buy something with a a credit card, and then immediately request a refund it will take a few days for the money to show up on your card/account. The exception is if you are using a debit card & you use your pin number, that refund is processed immediately. I'm very familiar with this process as I work in the finance industry. This isn't something the store has any control over, but if your broke, & hungry I'm sure it's frustrating so I do understand.
All that being said, I find this particular Papa John's to be absolutely, fantastic compared to the others I have had dealings with here in the Nashville area. The management is exceptionally helpful, the staff is very courteous even when they are extremely busy, and of course the most important factor--THE PIZZA TASTES LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TOO!!! VERY GOOD!!!
Other PJ locations in Nashville do not properly rotate and proof their dough and you can taste it in their hand-tossed crust. This location does a good job with that and other "little things" that make a big difference in the overall taste of the finished product. 5 stars on the hand tossed & cheese sticks. Stay away from the thin crust & "new" pan...
