EZ Eat Thai Sushi — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

We tried this lovely and delicious restaurant last night. The first thing I learned was they have two menus- one for sushi/sashimi and one for Thai cuisine. This review is about the Thai menu choices. Their menu is available online. There are many different and delicious sounding rice and noodle dishes with veggies that you can order with your choice of chicken, meat, seafood, or tofu. Their diverse menu also offers a tempting selection of fried rice dishes, appetizers, soups, and desserts. They ask you to let them know if you would like your dish to have some heat, and how much. Prices are comparable with or even less than other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. My brother chose red curry, made with coconut milk and mouth wateringly good with veggies, chicken, and jasmine rice. I had pho, a Vietnamese soup. The huge and certainly dinner-size bowl of oh so good luscious broth was filled with noodles, veggies, pork that I chose, and basil, bean sprouts, and slices of jalapeño pepper and lime on the side to be added as desired. I dumped them all in and dug in. Ummm umm SO good, YUM! We had mango sticky rice for dessert. If you like mangos, I’d say this dessert is not to be missed! The rice IS sticky. In fact it’s stuck together- sweet and especially delicious with the mango. The staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and warm and friendly. They enthusiastically answered my questions. I ordered from the Thai menu and both items, chicken pad Thai and tom ka gai, were both delicious. Large portions too!! I could not finish but I was hoping I couldn’t because now I have plenty for left overs and to share with my husband, as well. I also ordered a Thai tea and it’s no surprise to me that it was made perfectly.. nice and strong with a perfect balance. Now I know where I will go in Nashville to get Thai from now on. It was LATE when I came in but I was greeted nicely and I didn’t feel like they were put out by me arriving 1/2 hour before they were closing. The Cashier Lady is usually somewhat friendly but tonight her sour attitude failed to provide the usual warm and welcoming service that I had come to associate with Ez Thai. Instead, it felt like I was burdening her with my presence. The bag containing my food was handed over with a brusque attitude, She usually always hands it to me but this time she just threw it on the table like she couldn't be bothered. I've been a repeat customer for the past couple of weeks now but I think I'll just drive the extra couple miles to kobe up the road. Save your money they don't like...
